Android and iOS apps we build for businesses in India and worldwide
BtechWaleTech builds mobile apps for small businesses, startups and growing companies in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, the UAE, Singapore, Europe and India. Most of our apps are written once in Flutter or React Native and published to both Google Play and the Apple App Store, so you pay for one build instead of two and every new feature reaches Android and iPhone users on the same day.
A typical project is one of three things. The first is a customer app: the app your buyers download to order, book, pay, track or learn. The second is a staff app: a tool your delivery riders, field technicians, sales team or teachers use every day, often with offline mode and photo proof. The third is a startup MVP: the smallest version of a new product that proves people will use it and pay for it.
Every app comes with the parts that make it run in the real world: a backend API, a database, a web admin panel so your team can manage users, orders and content without calling a developer, push notifications, crash reporting and analytics. We write the store listings, fill in Apple's privacy details and Google's Data safety form, and submit the app for review under your own developer accounts.
- Customer apps: ecommerce, food ordering, bookings, memberships, loyalty and subscriptions.
- Marketplace apps: two-sided apps for buyers and sellers, customers and service providers, students and tutors.
- Staff and field apps: job lists, GPS check-in, photo and signature capture, offline sync.
- Startup MVPs: a lean first release with analytics built in, ready for investors and early users.
- Companion apps: apps that sit next to an existing website, CRM or web application and use the same data.
Flutter vs React Native vs native: which one your app should use
For most business apps, a cross-platform framework is the right call. Both Flutter (from Google) and React Native (from Meta) produce real installable apps that pass store review and feel native to users. They cover cameras, maps, payments, biometrics, push notifications, background location and in-app purchases through mature plugins, and where a plugin is missing we write a small native module for that one feature.
Choose Flutter when design matters and you want the app to look exactly the same on every phone. Flutter draws its own interface, which makes custom animations, brand-heavy screens and complex forms predictable across old Android phones and new iPhones. It is our default for consumer apps, ecommerce and booking apps.
Choose React Native when you already have a React or Next.js website, or your in-house team knows JavaScript and TypeScript. Business logic, API code and validation can be shared between the website and the app, and your own developers can maintain it later without learning a new language.
Choose fully native Kotlin and Swift only when the app is built around one deep platform feature, such as augmented reality, low-level Bluetooth hardware, heavy real-time audio or advanced camera processing. Native gives full control, but it means two codebases, two sets of bugs and roughly double the cost to build and maintain. We will tell you plainly if your idea is one of these cases.
A progressive web app (PWA) is the fourth option: a website that can be installed to the home screen. It skips store review and can rank on Google, but push notifications and hardware access on iPhone are still limited. For an internal tool or a quick pilot it can be the cheapest path, and we can build it alongside a proper app later.
How much does it cost to build an Android and iOS app in 2026?
Our Android and iOS apps start from ₹40,000 in India and US$600 for international clients. That starting price covers a focused app with login, core screens, forms, push notifications, an admin panel, an API connection and publishing to both stores. You get an itemised quote after a short call, so you see what each feature adds before anything is billed.
What moves the price is scope, not the platform count. The biggest cost drivers are the number of distinct screens and user roles, payments and subscriptions, real-time features like chat or live tracking, offline sync, third-party integrations (CRM, ERP, logistics, accounting), and how much custom design and animation you want. A single-role booking app is a very different project from a three-sided delivery marketplace with customer, rider and restaurant apps.
For comparison, app agencies in the USA, UK and Australia commonly quote five figures in dollars or pounds for a first release, and large Indian agencies often start in the lakhs. You pay less with us because a small team of engineers works on your app directly, with no sales layer and no office overhead, and because one cross-platform codebase replaces two native teams.
There are also a few running costs that belong to you, not to us: the Apple Developer Program at US$99 a year, a one-time US$25 Google Play registration, backend hosting (often a few dollars a month at launch on Firebase, Supabase or AWS), and any paid APIs such as maps, SMS or AI models. We set these up in your name so you keep full control.
- Simple app or MVP: from ₹40,000 / US$600, about 6 to 10 weeks.
- Ecommerce, booking or membership app: quoted on scope, usually more screens, payments and an admin panel.
- Marketplace or delivery platform: quoted on scope, often two or three connected apps plus a dashboard.
- Maintenance after the free 2 months: from ₹8,000 / US$120 a month.
Features we build into Android and iOS apps
Most apps are built from a common set of proven features. We pick only the ones your users need for the first release and keep the rest on a roadmap, which keeps the first version affordable and gets it into users' hands sooner.
- Login and accounts: email, phone OTP, Google, Apple sign-in, and account deletion inside the app as Apple requires.
- Payments: Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal, UPI intent, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and in-app purchases or subscriptions through the stores where the rules require it.
- Push notifications: order updates, reminders and offers through Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service.
- Maps and location: store finders, live rider tracking, geofenced check-ins and distance-based pricing.
- Chat and calls: in-app chat between customers and staff, support chat, and video call links.
- Media: camera, barcode and QR scanning, document upload, image compression and video playback.
- Offline mode: data saved on the phone and synced when the network returns, which matters for field teams and patchy mobile networks.
- Multi-language: English, Hindi, Arabic (right to left), French, German and Indian regional languages.
- AI features: chat assistants, smart search, summaries and document reading using OpenAI, Claude or Gemini APIs. See our AI automation services.
- Admin panel: a web dashboard for orders, users, content, reports and push campaigns.
- Analytics and crash reporting: Firebase Analytics or GA4 plus Crashlytics or Sentry, so you see what users do and fix crashes before reviews suffer.
Publishing on Google Play and the Apple App Store
Getting an app approved is its own piece of work, and it is where many cheap projects stall. We handle it end to end under your own developer accounts, so the app, its reviews and its revenue always belong to your business.
On Google Play, we prepare the signed app bundle, the store listing, screenshots, the content rating questionnaire and the Data safety form, and we target a recent Android API level as Google requires. New personal developer accounts must run a closed test with at least 12 testers for 14 days before public release, so we plan that into the timeline. Organisation accounts need business verification, which we guide you through.
On the App Store, we set up App Store Connect, TestFlight builds, privacy nutrition labels, the App Privacy details, sign in with Apple where needed and in-app account deletion. Apple reviews every release by hand. Most of our submissions pass first time because we build to the App Review Guidelines from the start, and when a reviewer asks for changes we handle the reply and resubmission.
After launch we help with the basics of app store optimisation: a clear title and subtitle, keyword fields, screenshots that explain the app, and a short description written for the search terms your users actually type. If you also want your website to rank, our SEO services tie the app and the site together with deep links and app banners.
Our app development process, week by week
Week 1: scope and plan. We turn your idea into a screen list, user roles, a feature list split into "launch" and "later", and a data model. You approve the plan and the itemised quote before any build work begins.
Weeks 2 to 3: design and foundations. We design the key screens, set up the codebase, backend, database and admin panel, and wire up login. You get the first test build on your own phone early, not at the end.
Weeks 3 to 8: build in short cycles. Features land every week. You install each build through TestFlight on iPhone and a Play testing track on Android, send feedback on WhatsApp, and small changes usually land within a day.
Weeks 8 to 10: test, polish and publish. We test on real devices, including older and low-memory Android phones, fix crashes, tune performance, prepare the store listings and submit to both stores.
After launch: 2 months free maintenance. We fix bugs, handle store review questions, and keep the app working through Android and iOS updates. After that, maintenance continues from ₹8,000 / US$120 a month, or you take the code and run it yourself.
Hiring app developers from India: how it works for USA, UK, UAE and Australian businesses
Most of our international clients hire us for one reason: they want an app built properly at a price that makes sense for a small business or a pre-seed startup. India has one of the deepest pools of mobile engineers in the world, and working with a small team directly removes the markup of an agency or a middle-man platform.
Time zones work in your favour. For US clients, we overlap with your morning and hand over progress while you sleep, so you wake up to a new build. The UK and Europe share most of the working day with India. Australia, Singapore and the UAE are only a few hours apart. Calls happen on Google Meet or Zoom, and day-to-day chat runs on WhatsApp, Slack or email.
Billing is simple. International projects are quoted in USD, or your local currency on request, and paid by bank wire, Wise or PayPal in milestones: a deposit to start, a payment when the first working build is on your phone, and the balance before store release. Clients in India pay in INR by UPI or bank transfer.
You own everything. The source code lives in a Git repository you control. The app is published under your Apple and Google developer accounts. The backend runs on hosting in your name. We sign an NDA before you share your idea if you want one. See how we work with clients in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia and the UAE.
App development for Indian businesses: built for Android-first users
In India the app your customers use is almost always an Android app on a budget or mid-range phone, often on a patchy mobile connection. We build for that reality: small download sizes, fast start-up on low-memory devices, images compressed for mobile data, and screens that stay usable offline.
Indian users expect phone number and OTP login, UPI payments through Razorpay, PhonePe, Paytm or Cashfree, WhatsApp order updates, and content in Hindi or their regional language. We build all of these as standard, and we still ship the iOS version from the same codebase for your premium and metro customers.
We work with shops, clinics, coaching institutes, schools, restaurants, real estate firms, manufacturers, distributors and D2C brands across every state, from Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune and Kolkata to Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. Everything is remote, so your city never limits who you can hire. Browse IT services across India or the India locations hub.
Apps that collect personal data in India should follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We build clear consent screens, collect only the data the app needs, and add a way for users to delete their account and data.
Security, privacy and quality we build in from day one
An app that leaks data or crashes on launch loses users and gets one-star reviews fast. We treat security and quality as part of the build, not an extra.
- HTTPS everywhere, tokens stored in the phone's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android), and no secret keys shipped inside the app.
- Server-side checks on every request, so the app cannot be tricked into showing another user's data.
- Privacy by design for GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA and India's DPDP Act: clear consent, minimal data, account deletion and a privacy policy that matches what the app actually does.
- Crash reporting and performance monitoring from the first test build, not after launch.
- Testing on real Android phones across price ranges and on current iPhones, plus automated tests for payments, login and other critical flows.
- Accessibility basics: readable text sizes, screen reader labels, sufficient contrast and touch targets large enough to tap.
After launch: updates, growth and long-term support
An app is never finished at launch. Apple and Google release new OS versions every year, store policies change, SDKs are deprecated, and your users will ask for features you did not predict. That is why every app includes 2 months of free maintenance after it goes live.
During that period we fix bugs, keep the app compliant with store rules, respond to review feedback and make small improvements. After it ends, you can continue on a maintenance plan from ₹8,000 / US$120 a month that covers updates, fixes, backups and monitoring, or you can take the code to any other developer. Nothing is locked.
When you are ready to grow, we add features in small, priced releases: a loyalty programme, subscriptions, a second language, an AI assistant, or integrations with your CRM, ERP or accounting system. Many clients also pair the app with a fast website so they can be found on Google and send visitors to the stores.
