Our services for Indian businesses, in detail
Web development. Business websites, landing pages and content sites built on modern frameworks such as Astro, Next.js and React, or on WordPress where your team wants to edit pages themselves. Static sites are fast, cheap to host and hard to hack, which is why we recommend them for most service businesses. The static plan covers up to 100 pages, responsive layouts, enquiry forms routed to email and WhatsApp, and hosting, SSL and deployment. Details are on the web development service page.
Website design. Design starts from what your customer needs to see before contacting you: services, prices or price ranges, proof of work, location or service area, and a contact button that is always within reach. We agree the page structure and wireframes before any visual design, design mobile layouts first, and avoid heavy sliders and autoplay video that slow phones down.
Ecommerce. Stores on Shopify, WooCommerce or a custom stack, chosen by catalogue size, budget and how much control you need, with payments through Razorpay, Cashfree, PhonePe or a similar gateway. The ecommerce section further down covers payments, COD, shipping and GST in depth.
SEO. SEO for Google India covers technical health, on-page work, content and local search. For national brands we build and improve product, category and service pages; for local businesses we focus on city and locality pages and guide you through your Google Business Profile, which must be owned and verified by you. Keyword research includes Hindi and Hinglish queries. More on the SEO services page.
Custom software and web apps. Admin panels, dashboards, client portals, booking systems and internal tools built around the way your team already works: a dealer ordering portal for a manufacturer, a fee and attendance system for a coaching institute, or a site-visit tracker for a real estate sales team. Many businesses that ask for a mobile app actually need a progressive web app that runs in the phone browser, installs to the home screen and updates without app store review.
AI automation. Automation that removes repetitive work: new enquiries sent to WhatsApp and a CRM such as Zoho, leads logged in Google Sheets, order and invoice data pushed towards Tally or Zoho Books, reminders sent automatically, and AI assistants that qualify leads or summarise documents. We map the current workflow first, because automating a messy process only makes the mess faster.
Maintenance. After hosting goes live you get two months of maintenance included: content and price updates, bug fixes, security updates, backups, uptime and speed checks, and basic SEO health checks in Search Console. After that, maintenance continues from ₹8,000 a month, or you contact us only when you need a change.
Website cost in India, explained
Ask five providers what a website costs and you will hear five numbers, because the word "website" covers everything from a one-page profile to a marketplace. The honest answer is that price follows scope. Our figures are starting prices for a clearly defined first version, and the final quote depends on your requirements. Here is what each starting price typically buys and what moves it up.
- From ₹10,000, static website: a service business, clinic, consultant or small manufacturer with a home page, service pages, about, contact and a gallery, up to 100 pages, using content you supply. Enquiry form, WhatsApp button, basic SEO tags and sitemap included.
- From ₹20,000, SEO website of 299+ pages: a structured site built around search intent, such as a service business with many service and location combinations or a catalogue of product types, planned with keywords, schema and internal linking, from design to deployment.
- From ₹40,000, AI automation: one well-defined workflow, for example enquiries from your website and ads flowing into a CRM, assigned to a salesperson and followed up automatically on WhatsApp.
- From ₹50,000, ecommerce store: a store with product and category pages, cart, checkout, a payment gateway, order and inventory basics and performance tuning, for a catalogue you can upload in a structured sheet.
- From ₹60,000, custom web app: a focused first version of a portal, dashboard or tool with user accounts, roles, an admin panel and deployment.
- From ₹10,000 a month, SEO; from ₹8,000 a month, maintenance: ongoing work with monthly reporting, after the two free months of maintenance.
The things that most often push a quote up are many unique page designs rather than reusable templates, content we write from scratch, product catalogues with complex variants and pricing rules, integrations with older software, multiple languages, and tight deadlines. The things that keep it down are ready content and photographs, one decision-maker, and a sensible first version that can grow later.
Also budget for running costs that go to third parties rather than to us: yearly domain renewal, hosting, paid plugins or a Shopify subscription, payment gateway fees, and WhatsApp Business API messaging charges if you use them. Prices on this page are before any applicable GST. The pricing page has the full breakdown.
How to choose a web developer in India
India has an enormous number of web developers, from large agencies to students building sites in their spare time. Most are honest; some are not; many are simply a poor fit for what you need. A short checklist saves money and months. Use it with anyone you are considering, including us.
- Who will actually build the site? Ask for names. If the person selling is not the person building, find out who is, and whether any part is subcontracted.
- Can I see live sites you built, and test them? Open them on your phone over mobile data. Run them through Google PageSpeed Insights. A portfolio of screenshots proves little.
- In whose name will the domain and hosting be registered? The only acceptable answer is yours, with logins handed over at launch.
- What exactly is in the quote? Number of pages, number of design revisions, who writes the content, what SEO setup includes, which integrations, and what is explicitly excluded.
- What happens after launch? Who fixes bugs, how fast, for how long, and what ongoing support costs.
- Which platform, and why? A good developer explains why WordPress, Shopify or a static site suits your case rather than using one tool for every job.
- How are payments staged? A common, fair structure is a part advance, a part at design approval and the balance before launch, tied to visible milestones.
Red flags worth walking away from: a guaranteed first-page ranking; a domain registered in the developer's own name; no written scope; the full amount demanded upfront; pirated or "nulled" premium themes and plugins, which often carry malware; no staging link until the day of launch; reviews or client logos that cannot be verified; and a quote per page with no definition of what a page includes.
A contract and ownership checklist: the scope document lists every page and feature; you own the domain, hosting account, source code and content; paid licences are bought in your name or clearly transferred; access credentials are handed over in writing; the developer confirms that images and fonts are properly licensed; and the agreement says what happens to your data and backups if you part ways.
Ecommerce in India: payments, COD, shipping and GST
Selling online in India is its own discipline. Buyers expect UPI, a meaningful share still prefer cash on delivery in many categories, delivery promises depend on the pincode, and invoices must be GST-correct. A store that ignores any of these leaks sales or margin.
Payment gateways. Razorpay, Cashfree, PhonePe's payment gateway and PayU all accept UPI, cards, net banking and wallets. Each needs business KYC before live payments, and fees and settlement timelines vary by provider and plan, so compare their current terms. We integrate whichever you choose; the merchant account is always in your name.
UPI checkout. On a phone, the best flow opens the buyer's UPI app directly, whether Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm or a bank app. On desktop, a QR code works better. For recurring payments such as monthly coaching fees or subscriptions, UPI AutoPay mandates through the gateway remove the monthly reminder chase. Service businesses without a store can use gateway payment links or payment pages instead of a full cart.
Cash on delivery. COD widens reach but brings return-to-origin losses when buyers refuse parcels. Confirming COD orders on WhatsApp or by OTP before dispatch, limiting COD by pincode or order value, and nudging buyers towards prepaid with a small incentive all reduce that cost.
Shipping. Most small and mid-sized stores ship through an aggregator such as Shiprocket, which connects several couriers, or directly with a courier. We connect the store so orders flow into the shipping panel, labels print from there, tracking links reach the customer automatically, and serviceability and COD availability are checked by pincode before checkout.
GST on invoices. GST-registered sellers need the GSTIN on invoices, HSN codes on products, and the correct split between CGST plus SGST for sales within your state and IGST for sales to other states. We configure the tax rules and invoice template in the store; please confirm rates and codes with your chartered accountant before launch. Shopify suits sellers who want a managed platform, WooCommerce suits those who want control and lower subscription costs, and a custom build suits unusual pricing, B2B ordering or very large catalogues.
Compliance and trust: DPDP Act, GST, domains and hosting
None of this is legal or tax advice; for formal questions, please consult a qualified professional. It is the practical groundwork we build into every Indian website.
DPDP Act 2023 basics. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 governs how organisations handle digital personal data. For a typical business website that means enquiry forms, newsletter signups, checkout, and any analytics or chat tool that collects personal information. We build forms that show a short, plain-language notice of what is collected and why, ask for consent that is not pre-ticked, collect only the fields you need, and link to a privacy policy with a grievance contact. Form data goes into access-controlled storage, not an open spreadsheet anyone with the link can read.
GST invoicing. Beyond online stores, service businesses that raise invoices from a portal or booking system need the same care: GSTIN, place of supply, SAC codes for services and correct tax lines. We build invoice templates to your accountant's specification.
.in or .com. A .in or .co.in domain is a country-code domain that Google associates with India, which is a useful signal if your customers are almost all Indian. A .com is better if you sell abroad or plan to. Registering both and redirecting one to the other costs little and protects your name. Either way, the domain is registered in your name.
Hosting in India. Major cloud providers including AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure run data centre regions in India, including Mumbai. For sites whose visitors are mostly Indian, hosting there or serving pages from a CDN with Indian edge locations keeps response times low. Static sites usually go on a global CDN; apps with a database go to an Indian region where that suits speed or data location.
Core Web Vitals on Indian mobile networks. Google's targets are Largest Contentful Paint within 2.5 seconds, Interaction to Next Paint within 200 milliseconds and Cumulative Layout Shift below 0.1. Meeting them on a mid-range Android phone over inconsistent 4G takes discipline: static HTML where possible, images in modern formats at the right size, subset fonts, lazy-loaded media below the fold, and very few third-party scripts. We test with throttled mobile settings, not office Wi-Fi.
Hindi and regional-language websites
A large share of Indian internet users are more comfortable reading in a language other than English, and many search in transliterated Hindi or a mix of languages. For businesses selling to local customers, a well-made language version builds trust that an English-only site cannot.
Each language should live on its own URL, such as /hi/ for Hindi, with its own title, description and hreflang tags (for example hi-IN and en-IN) so search engines show the right version to the right searcher. A translation widget that rewrites the page in the browser is not a substitute: search engines do not index it, and machine output often reads awkwardly. Text should be written or reviewed by a fluent speaker.
We handle Hindi directly. For Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Odia, Assamese, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam we build the structure, language switcher and tags, and work with text you or your translator provide. Fonts are subset so Devanagari, Tamil, Bengali or other scripts load quickly, and forms accept input in the script your customers type in.
Local SEO playbook for Indian businesses
Eight steps you can start this week, whether or not you work with us.
- Claim and complete your Google Business Profile. Verify it in your own name, choose the most specific primary category, add service areas if you visit customers, and fill in hours, services, products and photos. If customers do not visit an address, hide it and list service areas instead.
- Keep your NAP identical everywhere. Name, address and phone should read exactly the same on your website, Google profile, JustDial, IndiaMART, Sulekha, Facebook and industry directories. "Pvt Ltd" in one place and not another, or two different mobile numbers, confuses search engines and customers alike.
- Build city and locality pages only where you really serve. A page for each area you genuinely cover, with specific details such as landmarks, typical jobs, turnaround times or delivery charges, can rank. Twenty copies with the place name swapped usually do not. Start with your top three areas.
- Ask every happy customer for a review. Send a direct review link on WhatsApp after a job or delivery, and reply to every review politely and specifically. Never buy reviews or offer rewards for them; that breaks Google's policies and can get a profile suspended.
- Target Hindi, Hinglish and regional keywords. People search "ghar ke paas dentist", "website banane wali company" or "sasta interior designer". Read your Search Console queries, ask your sales staff which words customers use on calls, and answer those searches naturally on the page.
- Use JustDial, IndiaMART and industry listings properly. Manufacturers and wholesalers should prioritise IndiaMART and TradeIndia; service businesses JustDial and Sulekha; restaurants and clinics their category platforms. Link each listing to the most relevant page on your site, not only the home page.
- Add structured data and track calls. LocalBusiness schema with name, service area, hours and contact details helps search engines understand you. Track clicks on phone and WhatsApp buttons as conversions, because many Indian leads never fill a form.
- Review monthly, not daily. Rankings move every day. Check Search Console and your enquiry count once a month and improve the pages that are gaining impressions first. Local SEO compounds over months. Our monthly SEO covers all of this from ₹10,000 a month.
AI automation and WhatsApp workflows that suit Indian businesses
In India, WhatsApp is where customers already talk to businesses, and a surprising amount of back-office work still runs on phone calls, registers and spreadsheets. That makes small, well-chosen automations unusually valuable. A few examples of the kind of workflow we scope and build:
- Lead capture and follow-up: an enquiry from the website, Google Ads or a Meta lead form lands in a CRM such as Zoho or a Google Sheet, is assigned to a salesperson, and an acknowledgement goes to the customer on WhatsApp within seconds.
- Appointment reminders: clinics, salons and coaching institutes send booking confirmations and reminders through the WhatsApp Business API, which cuts no-shows without anyone making calls.
- Order updates: an online store sends order confirmation, dispatch and delivery messages automatically, and confirms cash-on-delivery orders before they ship.
- Accounting hand-off: order or invoice data is exported in the format your accountant needs for Tally or Zoho Books, instead of being retyped at month end.
- AI assistants: a model drafts replies to common questions, summarises long documents or tenders, or classifies incoming enquiries, with a person reviewing anything that matters.
The WhatsApp Business API requires a verified business account and message templates approved by Meta, and Meta charges for certain conversations, so we set these expectations before building. Each automation is documented and handed over, so you are not dependent on us to keep it running.
Redesigning an existing website without losing traffic
Many Indian businesses already have a website built years ago that is slow, not mobile friendly or impossible to update. Replacing it is often the right call, but a careless redesign can wipe out the rankings the old site had quietly earned. The safeguards are straightforward.
Before any design work, we export the pages that currently receive search traffic from Search Console and note which queries they rank for. Where possible those URLs stay the same. Where a URL must change, a permanent 301 redirect sends visitors and search engines from the old address to the new one. Titles, headings and the content that ranks are carried over and improved rather than discarded, and the new site is checked for broken links, missing pages and accidental noindex tags before it goes live.
After launch we submit the new sitemap, watch Search Console for crawl errors and 404s over the following weeks, and fix anything that slipped through. A short dip while Google processes the change is normal; a lasting loss usually points to a missed redirect or removed content, which the post-launch checks are designed to catch.
What you need to provide
Missing content is the most common reason website projects in India run late. If you do not have copy ready, say so at the start; we can write it as part of the scope, and the quote will say so.
- Your logo and any brand colours or guidelines you already use
- Business details: legal name, service areas, contact numbers, GSTIN if relevant
- Content you already have: service descriptions, product lists, prices, FAQs
- Real photographs of your work, team, premises or products
- Access to your domain registrar, or approval to register a domain in your name
- For ecommerce, a payment gateway account in your business name
- One person who can approve decisions within a day or two
North India: what businesses need online
The north combines the country's most competitive search market in Delhi NCR with trade and export clusters in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh and tourism-led economies in the hills. Hindi is the default language for local customers almost everywhere here, and English carries B2B and export work.
Delhi Union Territory
Delhi's businesses sit in one of the most crowded search markets in India. Wholesale markets such as Chandni Chowk, Sadar Bazar and Karol Bagh, professional firms around Connaught Place and Nehru Place, clinics in every residential colony and a huge base of online sellers compete for the same phrases. The businesses that win online usually go narrow: a service plus a locality, or a product plus a use case. Sites need Hindi and English, fast mobile pages and WhatsApp enquiries, and sellers need GST-ready invoicing and dependable courier integration for pan-India delivery.

Chandigarh Union Territory
Chandigarh works as a tricity with Mohali and Panchkula: a planned, educated, English-comfortable market with hospitals, schools, real estate, immigration consultants and a growing startup and IT scene around Mohali. Competition for phrases like "immigration consultant" is intense, so credibility content, clear registration details and honest service descriptions outperform aggressive claims.
Chandigarh
Uttar Pradesh
Noida and Greater Noida bring IT services, electronics manufacturing, coaching and real estate, and behave like an extension of the Delhi market. Lucknow is a services and government city with a strong chikankari trade. Kanpur is known for leather and textiles, Agra for footwear, marble inlay and tourism, Varanasi for silk sarees and pilgrims, Moradabad for brassware exports, Meerut for sports goods and Aligarh for locks and hardware. Outside NCR, audiences are Hindi-first, and Hindi pages often rank for less competitive queries sooner than English ones.

Himachal Pradesh
Shimla, Manali and Dharamshala run on tourism, homestays and adventure operators with sharply seasonal demand, so content needs to rank before the season starts. The Baddi industrial belt is a major pharma manufacturing cluster whose units need B2B sites with certifications and product lists. Apple and horticulture growers are good candidates for small direct-to-consumer stores.

Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory
Srinagar's houseboats, hotels and tour operators, and its handicraft sellers of pashmina, papier-mâché and walnut wood carving, need photography-led pages that prove authenticity. Saffron and dry fruit sellers do well with small D2C stores that show origin and GI-tag details where genuine. Jammu and Katra serve traders and pilgrims. Connectivity can be interrupted, so fast pages and WhatsApp-first contact are essential.

Ladakh Union Territory
Leh's economy is tourism: guesthouses, trekking and expedition operators, bike rentals and travel agents, with most bookings made weeks ahead by visitors from Indian metros and abroad. Connectivity is patchy, so a lightweight static site with clear information on what travellers need to arrange, honest pricing and a WhatsApp contact works far better than a heavy booking platform.
West India: what businesses need online
The west is India's commercial heartland: finance and media in Mumbai, manufacturing and trading across Gujarat and Maharashtra, and visitor-driven Goa. Marathi and Gujarati pages matter for local retail, while B2B and export buyers read English.
Maharashtra
Mumbai's D2C brands, financial advisers, media firms and real estate developers compete for expensive keywords, so projects there usually pair a fast site with a content plan. Thane, Navi Mumbai and Kalyan-Dombivli add clinics, tutors, interior designers and builders. Pune splits between automotive and engineering suppliers, education and product startups. Nagpur is a logistics hub, Nashik is known for grapes, wine and manufacturing, Aurangabad for auto and pharma units, Kolhapur for foundries and sugar, and Solapur for textiles. A Marathi version helps local retail and services.

Goa
Panaji, Margao, Vasco and Mapusa serve a visitor-driven economy of villas, restaurants, dive schools, event venues and wedding planners. Demand is seasonal and international, so English-first pages, clear pricing, real photographs and booking enquiries that rank before the season are the priorities. Goa also has pharma units and fisheries businesses with B2B needs.

Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu Union Territory
Silvassa and Daman have industrial estates making plastics, packaging, textiles and pharma products for buyers along the Mumbai and Gujarat corridor, while Diu is a tourism destination. Manufacturers need capability pages and vendor-registration details; hotels need direct booking enquiries. Gujarati, Hindi and English all appear.
South India: what businesses need online
The south combines technology hubs in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai with export manufacturing, tourism and a large Gulf-linked diaspora. Language matters more here than in most regions: English does the search work, and Kannada, Telugu, Tamil or Malayalam builds trust.
Puducherry Union Territory
Puducherry's heritage quarter supports boutique hotels, cafés, wellness retreats and craft shops that serve domestic and international visitors, alongside medical and engineering colleges. The union territory also includes Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam. English-first pages with Tamil support, strong photography and direct booking enquiries suit most businesses here.
PondicherryKaraikalYanam
Andaman and Nicobar Islands Union Territory
Port Blair and the islands run on tourism: resorts, dive centres, ferry and tour operators. Connectivity has improved but is still variable, and many visitors plan from the mainland weeks ahead, so a fast site with honest inclusions, clear planning information and WhatsApp contact matters more than a complex booking engine.
Port Blair
Lakshadweep Union Territory
Lakshadweep's economy is small and centred on fisheries, coconut products and regulated tourism. Businesses here need very light pages, clear information on what visitors must arrange before travelling, and a simple contact route, since connectivity is limited.
East and North-East India: what businesses need online
The east has large education and healthcare markets, steel and mining belts and strong traditional crafts. The North-East is often skipped by agencies because volumes are smaller, which is not a good reason to ignore it. Remote delivery means a homestay in Sikkim is as easy for us to work with as a firm in Gurugram, at the same price.
West Bengal
Kolkata work leans towards education, healthcare, FMCG distribution, leather, jute and family-run retail, often replacing an old site that was never mobile friendly, while Salt Lake's IT firms need modern B2B sites. Howrah has engineering units, Siliguri is a gateway for tea, logistics and North-East trade, Darjeeling has tea estates and tourism, and Durgapur-Asansol steel and coal. Bengali pages matter for local customers.

Arunachal Pradesh
Itanagar and Naharlagun hold most commercial activity, while Tawang, Ziro and other destinations draw tourists who need to plan permits, stays and transport in advance. Homestays, tour operators and fruit growers need simple, fast English sites with clear planning information and WhatsApp contact.

Manipur
Imphal's handloom and handicraft makers, food producers selling products such as black rice, and sports academies are the typical online businesses. English and Meitei content both have a place, and because connectivity can be disrupted, lightweight pages and WhatsApp ordering matter.

Meghalaya
Shillong combines education, a strong music and café culture and tourism to places like Sohra and Dawki. Homestays, tour operators and producers of local spices and teas need photography-led sites that rank for destination searches. English is widely used for business.

Mizoram
Aizawl's businesses are mostly local retail, services, bamboo and handloom products and tourism. English is widely read, which makes English-first sites practical, with Mizo content for local trust where the audience expects it.

Nagaland
Dimapur is the commercial hub and Kohima the capital, known nationally for the Hornbill Festival. Tour operators, homestays, handicraft sellers and food producers selling Naga chilli and other local products are good fits for small, fast sites and D2C stores. English is the official language.

Sikkim
Gangtok's tourism businesses, homestays and travel agents, and the state's organic produce and cardamom growers, are the main online sellers. Seasonal planning traffic, permit questions for some areas and slow hill networks all favour light pages, clear information and WhatsApp-first contact.

Central India: what businesses need online
The central belt runs on steel, power, cement, mining and agriculture, with Hindi as the language of local business. The central parts of Madhya Pradesh and Nagpur in Maharashtra share many of these traits and are covered in the West India section.
