From gold fields and silk to smartphones and trucks of tomatoes
Kolar's name still carries the memory of the Kolar Gold Fields, about thirty kilometres away, but the district's working economy today looks quite different. Farmers here grow tomatoes, vegetables and mangoes, rear silkworms and supply milk to KOMUL, the district's dairy union. The Kolar APMC is regularly described as one of Asia's largest tomato markets, and during the season trucks leave for markets across southern and northern India.
Manufacturing has moved in along the highway. KIADB's Narasapura industrial area hosts large plants, including a two-wheeler factory and electronics assembly, and a new industrial area at Vemagal is being developed, with a German machinery maker among the announced investors. Around these plants a new layer of suppliers, contractors, transporters and service firms has grown.
Add the Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College at Tamaka, Bengaluru North University, dozens of schools and colleges, and a town that is an hour from Bengaluru's airport, and you have a market where buyers from outside Kolar regularly need to find local businesses. Most of them start with a search on their phone.
What a Kolar website costs, and what the quote should include
Kolar owners usually hear two kinds of offers. A local shop offers a template for a small amount and keeps control of the domain. A Bengaluru agency quotes forty thousand or more for a brochure site, with its city rent built into the figure. Very few quotes explain what happens after launch.
Our starting prices are listed on the pricing page. A static site of up to 100 pages, with mobile layout, enquiry form, WhatsApp link, map and basic search setup, starts at ₹10,000 and takes one to two weeks. A 299+ page site built around real searches starts at ₹20,000 over three to five weeks. AI and WhatsApp automation starts at ₹40,000, online stores at ₹50,000, custom software at ₹60,000 and monthly SEO at ₹10,000.
Your project's scope sets the final figure. A single-doctor clinic is quick. A precision machining unit with fifteen processes, a machine list and inspection capability, written in English with a Kannada hiring page, needs more work. Send a few lines about your business, and we reply with a line-by-line quote before anything starts.
- From ₹10,000: a compact site for a shop, clinic, tutor or small workshop.
- From ₹20,000: 299+ pages for businesses that want steady search enquiries.
- From ₹50,000: a store with UPI, cards, courier rules and WhatsApp order alerts.
- From ₹60,000: vendor portals, job tracking or collection records for your process.
Supplying the plants at Narasapura and Vemagal
When a large plant opens, the orders that reach local firms are rarely for the main product. They are for fabrication, tooling, packaging, pallets, electrical and civil work, maintenance, calibration, canteen services, security, housekeeping, staff transport and hostels for workers. Kolar firms are well placed to win this work, but purchase teams at these plants often do not know they exist.
Purchase, quality and admin teams check suppliers online before inviting them. They want to see your processes and machines, capacity, quality checks, certifications you genuinely hold, industries served, GST and MSME registration, and a named contact who answers email. A clean capability website with photographs from your own shop floor answers most of these questions before the first visit.
We write these sites in plain English with a Kannada section for local recruitment. RFQ forms accept drawings and ask for material, quantity and delivery date. We never show plant or brand names as your clients without written permission, and we never list approvals you are still working towards. Most capability sites begin from ₹10,000; larger ones with product-by-product pages start from ₹20,000.
Housing and hospitality follow industry. Workers and engineers posted to the new plants look for PG rooms, rented flats, mess services, laundries, gyms and two-wheeler rentals near Narasapura and in Kolar town. These searches are made on phones, often in English or Hindi by people new to the area. A small site or even a well-kept map listing with photographs, rent ranges, food details and the distance to each plant gets these enquiries before the owner down the road has noticed the demand.
Tomato and vegetable traders at the Kolar APMC
The Kolar APMC is where much of the district's tomato crop is auctioned, and in peak season it draws buyers from many states. Commission agents and traders here deal with prices that can swing sharply from week to week, and most of their business with outside buyers happens over calls and WhatsApp forwards.
A trade website helps a new buyer judge you before sending a truck. We build pages that explain which vegetables you handle, the grading and crate sizes you use, loading arrangements, the markets and states you regularly supply, your licence and GST details, and how payments work. Because rates change daily, we do not print them on the site; a “today's rate” form or WhatsApp button collects the buyer's quantity and destination instead.
Vadahalli in Mulbagal taluk has a tomato market of its own, and traders there face the same questions. For both, we write English pages for buyers in other states, Kannada or Telugu pages for farmers and local sellers, and keep the site small enough to update from a phone between auctions.
Transporters form the other half of this trade. Truck owners and booking agents who move tomatoes to far-off markets can list routes, vehicle types, typical transit times and loading points, with a WhatsApp number for bookings. A shared dashboard that shows which trucks are loaded, in transit or back empty saves many phone calls during the peak weeks, and costs far less than the losses from a missed load.
Sericulture, dairy and the farm businesses around them
Sericulture has deep roots in Kolar district, from mulberry gardens and silkworm rearing to the cocoon and silk trade that links the district to nearby silk markets. Dairy is equally important: KOMUL collects milk from thousands of village societies, and private dairies, feed suppliers, veterinary services and equipment dealers work alongside it.
These businesses need practical websites rather than glossy ones. A rearing equipment or mulberry sapling supplier needs a product list, prices they are happy to share and delivery areas. A cattle feed dealer needs stock details and a WhatsApp order button. A private dairy or sweet shop needs product pages, delivery zones and subscription options for daily milk.
Behind the scenes, many collection centres and dealers still keep records in notebooks. We build simple web tools that record daily collection or sales, calculate payments and send statements over WhatsApp. They start from ₹60,000 and run on any phone, so the person at the collection point does not need a computer.
Srinivaspur mangoes and farm products sold straight to city homes
Srinivaspur taluk is one of Karnataka's best-known mango areas, and every summer Bengaluru households look for varieties such as Badami, Mallika, Totapuri and Neelam straight from the orchard. Most of that fruit still reaches them through several middlemen, and the grower sees only part of the final price.
An online store lets a grower or farmer group take orders directly: variety pages with harvest windows, box sizes, ripening method, delivery areas and dates, and payment through UPI and Razorpay. Pre-booking before the season helps you plan harvesting and packing. The same store can sell honey, jaggery, millets or pickles for the rest of the year.
We build these stores from ₹50,000 and keep the order flow simple, with every order and address arriving on WhatsApp. We do not use words like “organic” or “carbide-free” unless you can document the practice, because buyers ask, and the one-star review from a disappointed customer stays on the page.
Hospitals, colleges and schools in a district seat
The Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College and its teaching hospital at Tamaka draw patients from across the district and from neighbouring parts of Andhra Pradesh. Private hospitals, nursing homes, dental and eye clinics, labs and pharmacies serve the same families, who usually compare options on a phone before choosing where to go.
Patients want plain facts: which specialists are available on which days, OPD timings, tests and preparation, whether government schemes and insurance are accepted, emergency numbers and directions. We build doctor pages, test lists and WhatsApp appointment requests with the patient's details laid out neatly, and we avoid guarantees or comparisons of any kind.
Colleges affiliated to Bengaluru North University, nursing and paramedical institutes, PU colleges and coaching centres need course pages, eligibility, admission steps, bus routes from taluk towns, and a notice board staff can update. We publish only verified results, and keep student photographs off public pages without consent.
Hostels, PGs and messes around the medical college serve students from many states. A clear page with room types, rent, food, rules and walking distance to the campus answers the first round of parents' questions before they travel to Kolar to look.
Kolaramma, Antaragange and the shops that serve visitors
The Kolaramma and Someshwara temples in town, the Antaragange hill with its spring and caves, and pilgrim sites across the district such as Kurudumale and Avani bring a steady flow of visitors, many of them weekend trippers from Bengaluru. They search for places to eat, stay, park and shop, often while on the road.
Hotels, lodges, restaurants and travel operators benefit from simple sites with honest photographs, timings, tariffs they are happy to publish and a WhatsApp booking button. Trekking or day-trip organisers for Antaragange can list start points, difficulty, timings and what to carry, which answers questions before visitors call.
Retail across Doddapet, Gandhi Nagar, Karanjikatte and the clock tower area follows the same pattern. Jewellers, silk and saree shops, electronics and furniture showrooms, two-wheeler dealers and hardware stores gain from a catalogue site that shows categories, brands and hours. Customers who have looked online arrive ready to buy, and the counter conversation is shorter.
Local search in Kolar, in Kannada, Telugu, Urdu and English
Google shows local businesses in two ways. The map pack at the top depends on your Google Business Profile, your reviews and how close you are to the searcher. The ordinary results below depend on your website. In Kolar, many profiles have the wrong category, old numbers or a pin on the wrong road, and correcting them often brings calls within weeks.
We create or fix your profile with accurate categories, real photographs, hours and service areas, and show you how to ask genuine customers for reviews within Google's rules. We keep your name, address and phone consistent across Justdial, IndiaMART and trade portals. On your site, each service and area gets its own page, such as Doddapet, Gandhi Nagar, Tamaka or the APMC, and nearby towns like Bangarpet, Malur, Mulbagal and Srinivaspur. Our SEO service covers both parts.
Kolar is unusually multilingual: Kannada is the main language, and Telugu, Urdu and Tamil are widely spoken. People search in all of these and in mixtures, like “Kolar alli best hospital”, “Kolar lo tomato rate” or “school near clock tower Kolar”. Industrial buyers search in English. Monthly SEO starts from ₹10,000, and we never promise a first-page position.
- Google Business Profile setup and duplicate cleanup
- Kannada and Telugu pages for local customers
- English pages for industrial and outside buyers
- Consistent listings on Justdial, IndiaMART and trade portals
- A monthly report written in plain language
WhatsApp automation for traders, suppliers and clinics
A tomato commission agent in Kolar may send the same rate message to fifty buyers every morning. A supplier to a Narasapura plant receives delivery schedule changes and quality queries through the day. A hospital reception answers “doctor eppudu vastaru?” or “doctor yavaga barthare?” again and again. All of it is routine, and all of it takes time.
We build automation that handles the routine. Every enquiry is saved in one sheet or dashboard. Common questions about rates, stock, timings or fees are answered instantly in Kannada, Telugu or English, and anything unusual goes to the right person with the whole conversation attached. Rate lists, dispatch notes and appointment reminders go automatically to contacts who have opted in.
AI agents can read your price list, product catalogue or doctor schedule and answer detailed questions, or draft replies your staff approve with one tap. Projects start from ₹40,000. We study your actual workflow first and automate only repeated, low-risk steps. Payments, quality disputes and medical advice stay with people.
A remote team an hour's drive would not improve
We have no office in Kolar and will not claim one. We are three engineers working remotely for clients across India. Without rent or a sales team, our starting prices stay below a Bengaluru agency's, and you deal directly with the people writing your code.
Work runs through calls, WhatsApp and screen sharing. After a first conversation, we send a page plan, a timeline and an itemised quote. Within one to two weeks you receive a preview link to check on your phone and share with partners. Small changes are usually done the same day, and we reply every day of the week on Indian time.
One of us leads full-stack development. Another of us handles AI, machine learning, AWS and data work. The third of us manages projects and works on automation and data science. You can contact any of us directly.
Keeping the site in your name, and keeping it running
Many Kolar businesses have lost a website because the developer registered the domain under his own account and then took a job in Bengaluru. When the renewal notice goes to an inbox nobody checks, the site simply disappears, along with years of search history.
We register the domain and hosting in your name from day one. At launch you receive every login, the full source code and a short note explaining how the site is put together. You can move to another developer whenever you like, and there is no exit fee.
Maintenance is free for two months after launch: content and price updates, bug fixes, security patches, backups, uptime and speed checks. After that, it continues from ₹8,000 a month, or you can come to us only when a change is needed. Our web development page lists what every build includes.
