Two Bengalurus: the tech city and the city that feeds it
Most people outside Karnataka think of Bengaluru as a technology city, and with reason. Whitefield, the Outer Ring Road, Electronic City and Manyata Tech Park hold the offices of large IT services firms, global capability centres and thousands of startups. IISc, IIM Bangalore, ISRO's headquarters and public-sector firms such as HAL and BEL give the city deep engineering roots.
But there is another Bengaluru that keeps the first one running. The industrial belts of Peenya, Bommasandra and Jigani make machine parts, electrical equipment and precision components. Chickpet trades in silk and textiles, KR Market moves flowers and produce before dawn, and SP Road sells electronics components. Garment exporters, bakeries, darshini restaurants, clinics, schools and interior firms serve the millions who moved here for work.
These two economies need different websites. A SaaS founder wants a product site that converts overseas visitors into demo bookings. A Peenya job shop wants procurement engineers to see its machine list. A Basavanagudi clinic wants patients within three kilometres to find it on Maps. We build for all three, and we don't sell one the other's package.
How much does a website cost in Bengaluru?
Bengaluru quotes range from a few thousand rupees on freelance marketplaces to several lakhs from design studios on 100 Feet Road. Cheap builds tend to skip SEO, analytics and handover, while premium studios often charge for brand strategy that a small business will never use. The useful question is what you get for the money, and who owns it afterwards.
Our starting prices are published. A static site with up to 100 pages costs from ₹10,000 and takes one to two weeks. A 299+ page SEO site costs from ₹20,000 and takes three to five weeks. Online stores start at ₹50,000, custom web apps and MVPs at ₹60,000, AI automation at ₹40,000, and monthly SEO at ₹10,000 a month.
Scope decides the rest. A landing page with a waitlist form is a small job; a multi-tenant dashboard with role-based access is not. You get a written quote listing each page and feature within about two working days, and we bill nothing until you approve it in writing. Details of each tier are on the pricing page.
- Static site, from ₹10,000: up to 100 pages, mobile layout, form, SEO basics. For clinics, consultants, interior firms and restaurants.
- SEO site, from ₹20,000: 299+ pages, service and area pages, schema. For firms targeting specific neighbourhoods.
- Online store, from ₹50,000: catalogue, cart, UPI and cards. For D2C brands, silk sellers and food businesses.
- Web app or MVP, from ₹60,000: logins, dashboards, APIs. For founders, manufacturers and service companies.
Product sites and MVPs for Koramangala, HSR and Indiranagar founders
Early-stage founders in Bengaluru usually have a working product or a strong prototype, and a website that was thrown together in a weekend. That is fine until an investor, a prospective customer abroad or a senior hire opens it. Suddenly the page speed, the clarity of the pitch and the quality of the demo flow matter a great deal.
We build product sites that explain what you do in the first screen, show the product instead of stock illustrations, and route visitors to one clear action, whether that is a demo, a waitlist or a free trial. Pages are built on modern static frameworks, so they load quickly worldwide and cost very little to host. Analytics and conversion events are set up correctly on day one, which saves arguments about numbers later.
For founders without a technical co-founder, or whose engineers are fully occupied on the core product, we build MVPs and internal tools: admin panels, onboarding flows, billing integrations and customer dashboards. We keep the architecture simple enough that your first engineering hire can take it over without rewriting it, and we hand over the repository and cloud accounts in your company's name.
Manufacturers in Peenya, Bommasandra and Jigani
Peenya in north-west Bengaluru is one of the largest industrial areas in south India, with a dense mix of machine shops, fabricators, electrical panel makers, moulders and tool rooms. Bommasandra and Jigani on the Hosur Road side host more engineering, electronics and pharma units. Many of them supply aerospace, defence, automotive and machinery customers who have strict vendor approval processes.
Procurement engineers vet suppliers carefully. They want the machine list with make and bed size, materials handled, tolerances achieved, inspection equipment, certifications such as ISO or AS9100 if you hold them, and the customers you already serve if you're allowed to name them. Most Peenya websites we come across show a gate photo and a paragraph of generic text.
We build capability-led sites: a page for each process, specification tables written as text so search engines can read them, downloadable company profiles, and an RFQ form that accepts drawings and routes them to your estimator. We only list certifications you actually hold, and we never name customers without your permission. For export enquiries, the site is hosted to load quickly abroad.
Many of these units also run on paper and memory internally. Job cards, machine loading and delivery commitments often live in a supervisor's notebook or a shared spreadsheet that only one person understands. Once the website is in place, a simple web app can track each job from enquiry to dispatch, show which machines are free this week, and give customers a status page instead of a phone call. We build that only if it saves real time on your floor.
Silk, sarees and textiles from Chickpet and the old city
Chickpet and the lanes around it have traded textiles for generations, and Bengaluru's saree shops draw buyers from across south India. Karnataka's silk tradition, from Mysore silk to the handloom centres around the state, gives many of these businesses a story that customers in other cities are willing to pay for. Garment export units in the city's southern and western belts add another large textile workforce.
Selling sarees online is harder than it looks. Colour must be photographed accurately, the weave and zari detail needs close-up images, and buyers want clear information on fabric, length, blouse piece, care and return policy. Buyers in the US, UK or the Gulf shopping for a wedding also want to know about international shipping and delivery times.
We build textile stores with multiple high-quality images per product, filters by fabric, occasion and price, UPI and card checkout through Razorpay, and shipping rules by pin code and country. For wholesale suppliers, we build trade catalogues with set quantities and a WhatsApp enquiry on every design. Images are compressed carefully so that a collection of 200 sarees still loads quickly.
Restaurants, bakeries, cafés and coffee roasters
Bengaluru eats out a great deal, from darshinis in Malleshwaram and Basavanagudi to cafés and microbreweries in Indiranagar and Koramangala. The city also has a growing number of home bakers, cloud kitchens and speciality coffee roasters sourcing from the estates of Chikkamagaluru and Kodagu. Most of them depend heavily on delivery aggregators, whose commissions eat into every order.
A good website won't replace aggregators, but it can move loyal customers to direct orders. We build fast menu sites with photos, prices and opening hours, table booking, and ordering through WhatsApp or a simple UPI checkout for regulars. For coffee roasters and bakery brands shipping across India, we build stores with subscriptions, grind options and delivery slots.
Local search is where restaurants win or lose. Your Google Business Profile needs correct hours, current menu photos and a steady stream of honest reviews, and it matters more than the website for “near me” searches. We handle both, so the profile and site tell the same story. For restaurants with more than one outlet, each branch gets its own page and its own profile, with the right hours and phone number, so a customer in Yelahanka isn't sent to your Jayanagar kitchen.
Clinics, schools and services for Bengaluru's residential layouts
Bengaluru's newer layouts, such as Sarjapur Road, Bellandur, Hebbal, Yelahanka and Kanakapura Road, have filled with young families in a short time. They need paediatricians, dentists, physiotherapists, schools, daycares, tuition centres, interior designers and home-service businesses, and they find them almost entirely through search and apartment WhatsApp groups.
For clinics, we build pages for each treatment written in plain language, doctor profiles with qualifications, and appointment booking connected to WhatsApp. We avoid outcome claims your doctors are not comfortable making. For schools and daycares, parents want the curriculum, fees, timings, transport routes, safety policies and a way to book a visit, and they want answers before admissions close.
Interior designers and home-service firms benefit most from project galleries organised by apartment type and budget, with clear starting prices. A family in a new Whitefield flat wants to see work in a similar space before calling. Honest cost ranges attract better enquiries than a “contact us for pricing” page.
Local SEO in Bengaluru: layouts, traffic and several languages
Bengaluru's traffic means people care about distance more than most cities. A family in HSR Layout will not cross Silk Board junction for a dentist, and Google knows it. Map results favour businesses close to the searcher, so the realistic goal for a local business is to be highly visible in its own layout and the neighbouring ones.
The Google Business Profile does much of the work: correct primary category, service list, real photos, accurate hours, and genuine reviews collected steadily. Your business name, address and phone number must match across Justdial, Sulekha, IndiaMART and industry directories. Bengaluru addresses mix cross, main, stage, block and sector numbering, so we fix one format and use it everywhere.
The website then supports the profile with a page per service and area pages only for neighbourhoods you truly serve. Search behaviour here is multilingual. Many residents search in English, but Kannada queries matter for local services and older customers, and Tamil, Telugu and Hindi appear for particular communities and trades. Where your customers search in Kannada, we build properly indexed Kannada pages, not a translation plugin. Monthly SEO starts at ₹10,000.
- Google Business Profile categories, photos, services and review process
- One address format across Justdial, Sulekha and IndiaMART
- Service pages and genuine layout or area pages
- Kannada pages and search terms where your customers use them
- Technical SEO, schema and monthly Search Console reports
AI agents and automation, built without the hype
In Bengaluru, everyone has heard of AI agents, and many businesses have been pitched expensive projects that never went into production. We take a narrower approach. We look for tasks that are repetitive, well defined and cheap to check, and automate those first. That usually delivers more than an ambitious agent that nobody trusts.
Typical projects include a WhatsApp assistant that answers routine questions about menus, fees, stock or appointment slots in English or Kannada, with handover to a person for anything unusual; a lead pipeline that captures website and WhatsApp enquiries into a CRM and assigns them; document extraction that reads invoices or purchase orders into your accounting system; and internal assistants that answer staff questions from your own policies and manuals, citing the source.
Another of us, who leads our AI and AWS work, builds these with cost controls, logging and clear limits on what the system may do on its own. Projects start at ₹40,000. Anything involving payments, medical advice or legal commitments stays with a human, and we'll tell you when an automation isn't worth building.
A remote team that fits how Bengaluru already works
We have no Bengaluru office and we won't borrow an address to appear local. We are three engineers working remotely across India. In a city where remote and hybrid working are already normal, and where a meeting in Whitefield from Jayanagar can eat half a day, most clients are glad not to travel.
We start with a call or WhatsApp conversation, then send a written scope, timeline and cost. You get a live preview link within the first week or two and review it on your own phone. For technical clients we can work in your GitHub organisation, with pull requests you can review. Everyone else can send feedback as screenshots or voice notes. We reply seven days a week on Indian time.
One of us leads full-stack development. Another of us handles AI, machine learning, AWS and data engineering. The third of us manages projects and works on data science and automation. You can reach any of us directly.
Handover, ownership and the first two months after launch
Startups learn the ownership lesson during due diligence, when an investor asks who holds the domain and the answer is a freelancer who has left the country. Local businesses learn it when the site goes down and the only person with the hosting password stops answering. Both are avoidable.
We register domains in your name, create cloud and hosting accounts under your company, and put the code in a repository you own. At launch you receive every credential and a short architecture note. You can move the work to another team or bring it in-house whenever you want, without an exit fee.
For two months after launch, maintenance is free: content changes, bug fixes, security and dependency updates, backups, uptime monitoring and performance checks. After that it continues from ₹8,000 a month, or you can call on us only when needed.
What to check before hiring a web developer in Bengaluru
Ask whose name the domain and cloud accounts will be in, and whether you will have admin access from day one. Ask to see two live projects and open them on your phone over mobile data. Ask what a bug fix costs three months after launch, and whether SEO basics and analytics are included or charged later.
For software projects, ask how the code will be documented and tested, and whether another developer could pick it up. Be wary of fixed-price quotes for vague scopes, which usually lead to disputes, and of anyone who guarantees search rankings. No one controls Google, and competitive Bengaluru terms take sustained work.
Finally, measure how quickly they respond before you pay. If you want to try us, the contact page reaches all three of us.
