A small capital with a large number of visitors
Panaji is compact. The city corporation covers a few dozen square kilometres, and its population is modest by the standards of Indian capitals. Yet it carries a heavy load: the state secretariat functions, district offices, banks and insurers at Patto Plaza, the main Kadamba bus stand, and a constant flow of tourists who pass through on the way to the beaches of North and South Goa.
The city's economy mixes government, hospitality, professional services and trade. Hotels and guesthouses line the riverfront and the older quarters. Restaurants range from old Goan kitchens to new cafés. Lawyers, chartered accountants, architects and consultants serve clients across Goa, and property developers sell flats and villas in Taleigão, Dona Paula, Porvorim and the hinterland to buyers from other states.
Customers in Panaji are therefore split. Some are locals who want a reliable plumber, a school or a pharmacy. Others are visitors who arrive knowing nothing about the city and search on their phones. A good website has to speak to both, often in different languages and with different questions in mind.
What websites cost in Panaji
Our starting prices are on the pricing page. A static website of up to 100 pages starts at ₹10,000 and takes one to two weeks. It covers a mobile layout, contact and enquiry forms, WhatsApp button, Google map and basic search setup. Most guesthouses, clinics, cafés and professional firms fit within this.
A 299+ page site built around real searches starts at ₹20,000 over three to five weeks. WhatsApp and AI automation starts at ₹40,000, online stores at ₹50,000 and custom web applications at ₹60,000. Monthly SEO begins at ₹10,000, and ongoing maintenance at ₹8,000 a month after two free months.
Goa sees a wide spread of quotes, from freelancers to large agencies. Rather than comparing only the total, ask who registers the domain, whether the site can take bookings or leads without a monthly portal fee, how easily you can change prices before the season, and who fixes things in December when everyone is busy. Our written quote answers each point.
- From ₹10,000: a guesthouse, café, clinic or law firm website.
- From ₹20,000: hundreds of pages for property firms or tour operators.
- From ₹50,000: an online store for Goan food, bakery or fashion products.
- From ₹60,000: booking, lead-tracking or client-portal software.
Heritage homestays and boutique hotels in Fontainhas and Altinho
Fontainhas, Panaji's Latin Quarter, with its narrow lanes and old Portuguese-style houses, is one of the most photographed parts of Goa. Many of those houses now run as homestays, boutique hotels, galleries and cafés. Altinho, the hill above the city, has older residential bungalows, some of which also host guests.
Guests who choose these places are paying for character, so the website must show it honestly: the real rooms, the age and story of the house, what the neighbourhood is like at night, whether there is parking in a lane where cars can barely pass, and how far it is to the ferry, the casinos and the beaches. Heavy slideshows are not needed. Good photographs and clear writing are.
We build direct-booking pages with a request form that sends dates, guest numbers and room choice to WhatsApp, and a tariff page you can edit yourself as rates change between the monsoon and the December peak. Heritage properties also benefit from a short, factual history page, but we stick to what you can verify and never invent a date for the building.
Restaurants, bakeries and cafés along 18th June Road and beyond
Panaji's food scene runs from the market lanes and 18th June Road to Campal, Miramar and the riverside. There are old family restaurants serving Goan curries, bakeries selling poi and bebinca, new cafés for the office crowd at Patto, and bars that fill up with visitors in the evening. Most diners pick a place after looking at the map and a few photos on their phones.
A restaurant website should load instantly and show the current menu, opening hours, whether you take reservations, parking, and card and UPI payment options. Bakeries can take pre-orders for cakes and festive sweets through a WhatsApp form. We keep menus editable by your staff, so a price change does not wait for a developer.
We also connect the site to your Google Business Profile, so the menu, hours and photos match everywhere. Mismatched hours are one of the most common reasons visitors walk away annoyed, and one of the easiest to fix.
Some kitchens also run catering, tiffin services or office lunch deliveries for the Patto and Altinho workforce. For them we add a simple weekly menu page, a delivery-area list and a WhatsApp order form that captures quantity, address and time slot in one message. Regular corporate customers can get a monthly statement instead of paying for each order, and the owner sees every order in one sheet rather than scattered across chats.
Property developers and agents selling to buyers outside Goa
A large share of property buyers in and around Panaji do not live in Goa. They are families from Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Delhi, or Goans working abroad, looking at flats in Taleigão, villas in Porvorim or holiday homes in the hinterland. They cannot visit every site, so they study the developer's website closely before booking a visit.
Project pages need to be precise: location on a map, distances to the city, the airports and the beaches, floor plans, specifications, construction photographs with dates, and the approvals and registrations you actually hold. We write each project as its own set of pages, which is how many developers reach the 299+ page scale that brings steady search traffic.
We avoid the language that makes buyers suspicious: no guaranteed returns, no promises about appreciation or rental yield, and no “sea view” unless the photos prove it. Site-visit requests go straight to WhatsApp with the buyer's budget and preferred date, and a simple lead tracker shows which projects draw the most interest.
Rental management is a related business. Owners who live elsewhere often hand their Goa flats to local managers who find tenants or holiday guests, collect rent and arrange repairs. A website that explains the service, the fees you charge, the areas you cover and how you report back to owners, together with a small portal for statements, gives distant owners the confidence to sign up.
Law firms, CAs, architects and offices around Patto Plaza
Patto Plaza is Panaji's main business district, with the RBI, LIC, SBI, income tax and passport offices, and private buildings such as the Dempo Trade Centre. Around it and across the city work law firms, chartered accountants, tax consultants, architects, interior designers, insurance advisers and IT consultants.
Professional websites here should be quiet and clear: the partners and their qualifications, practice areas, the kind of clients you serve, office hours, and how to book a consultation. Lawyers must follow Bar Council rules on advertising, so we write their sites as factual information pages rather than promotions. Chartered accountants can publish filing calendars and short explanations of GST or income tax deadlines that bring regular visitors.
For firms with many clients, a small client portal where documents are uploaded securely and deadlines are tracked can save hours of email every week. Such portals start from ₹60,000, and the data stays in your own cloud account.
Events, film festival weeks and the Mandovi evening economy
Panaji hosts the International Film Festival of India, and during those days the city fills with delegates, filmmakers, students and journalists. Weddings, conferences and cultural events run through the rest of the season, and the offshore casinos on the Mandovi keep the riverfront busy late into the night.
All of this supports a chain of smaller businesses: event planners, decorators, caterers, photographers, sound and lighting rental firms, taxi and self-drive rental operators, and hotels that fill up quickly. Their customers usually book at short notice and want answers within minutes.
We build sites with clear service lists, galleries of real events, availability requests and WhatsApp buttons that work well on a phone. For rental operators, we add rate pages, document requirements and pickup points near the bus stand or Karmali station. We do not build promotional pages for gambling itself, but hotels, restaurants and transport services around the casinos are welcome. Event firms can also publish a short page for each venue they work with, listing capacity, parking and sound rules, which helps planners from other cities shortlist them quickly.
Selling Goan products online, from kitchens to boutiques
Visitors often want to take Goa home with them: masalas and recheado paste, bebinca and dodol, cashew nuts, sausages, pickles, clothing from local designers, azulejo-style tiles and handmade crafts. Many small Panaji businesses already sell these through Instagram and WhatsApp, but track orders by hand.
An online store with UPI and Razorpay checkout, product pages with real photos, shipping rules by weight and pin code, and order alerts on WhatsApp brings order to that trade. Stores start from ₹50,000. For food, we list ingredients, shelf life and storage instructions, and we help you follow the rules on labelling and licences for the products you sell.
Alcoholic products such as feni come with strict licensing and shipping restrictions, so we do not build interstate online sales for them. We can build an information page for a licensed distillery or tasting room if you hold the right permissions.
Clinics near the city, schools and institutes on the Taleigão side
Goa Medical College at Bambolim, a short drive from the city, and Goa University on the Taleigão plateau shape a lot of everyday demand around Panaji. Private clinics, dental practices, physiotherapy centres, diagnostic labs and pharmacies serve residents, students and patients' families, while tutors, language schools, music teachers and training institutes serve a well-educated population that expects clear information.
Visitors add another layer. A tourist with a sprained ankle, a fever or a dental problem searches for help near their hotel, often in English and often late in the evening. A clinic page that states the doctors' days, walk-in hours, languages spoken, the nearest landmark and whether you accept cards or insurance answers that search directly.
For schools and institutes we build admission pages, fee information you choose to publish, notice boards staff can update and enquiry forms that reach a person. For clinics we keep claims factual, with no promises about outcomes, and every page is checked by the doctor before it goes live.
Local search in Panaji: Konkani, English and the Panjim question
People search for the same city in several ways: Panaji, Panjim, Ponnje in Konkani, or simply “Goa capital”. Visitors add neighbourhood names such as Fontainhas, Miramar, Dona Paula or Campal. A business that appears under only one form misses searches. We write pages and your Google profile so that all common names lead to you naturally.
Your Google Business Profile often decides whether a tourist walks into your restaurant or the next one. We set it up with the right categories, real photos, hours and an accurate pin, and fix duplicates that many older Panaji listings have. On the website we add pages for the areas you serve, such as Altinho, São Tomé, Mala, Ribandar, Caranzalem, Taleigão and Porvorim.
Konkani is Goa's official language, and Marathi, English and Hindi are also widely used. Locals may search in Konkani, while tourists search in English or Hinglish, such as “Panjim mein sasta hotel”. We write for the audiences you need. SEO work starts from ₹10,000 a month, and we do not promise first place on Google.
- Google Business Profile with correct categories and pin
- Pages for Panaji, Panjim and neighbourhood searches
- Konkani and English content reviewed by you
- Consistent listings on Justdial and travel directories
WhatsApp automation for season peaks and monsoon quiet
Goa's business year is uneven. From October to the new year, a guesthouse or restaurant may get more messages than staff can handle: Is there a room for four on Friday? Do you serve vegetarian food? How far are you from the ferry? In the monsoon, those messages slow, and owners want to spend that time on marketing rather than admin.
We build WhatsApp flows that answer routine questions from your own information: tariffs, menus, check-in times, directions, property prices and site-visit slots. Enquiries are recorded in one place, and anything unusual goes to a person with the conversation attached. Booking confirmations and reminders go out automatically to guests who opted in.
AI agents can prepare replies in English, Hindi or Konkani for staff to approve. Projects start from ₹40,000. We automate only the routine; complaints, refunds and special requests stay with you, because Goan hospitality depends on a human voice.
How we work from a distance with Panaji clients
We have no office in Panaji or anywhere in Goa, and we do not pretend to. We are three engineers working remotely for businesses across India. Without rent or a sales team to cover, our starting prices stay lower than those of agencies with large offices, and you talk directly to the people who build your site.
Projects begin with a short call or WhatsApp chat. We then send a page plan, a timeline and an itemised quote. Once you approve it, you receive a preview link to check on your phone and share with partners. We make changes over chat and screen sharing, and we reply every day of the week on Indian time.
One of us leads full-stack development. Another of us handles AI, machine learning, AWS and data. The third of us manages projects and works on automation and data science. You can contact us and get answers from the person doing the work.
Ownership, handover and care between seasons
We register the domain and hosting in your name from the start. At launch you receive every password, the full source code and a short guide to how the site is built. If you ever want to move to another developer, you can do so without paying us any exit fee.
Maintenance is free for two months after launch: text and price updates, bug fixes, security patches, backups and uptime checks. For many Panaji businesses those months cover part of the tourist season, when a broken form costs the most. After that, maintenance continues from ₹8,000 a month, or you can contact us only when you need something.
The monsoon is a good time for bigger work, such as new photographs, fresh pages for new rooms or projects, and a check of your Google profile before the season. Our web development page explains what each build includes.
