A city of students, courts and pilgrims: what that means for your website
Prayagraj, which many people still call Allahabad, has an economy unlike most Uttar Pradesh cities. A large share of its daily business depends on three groups who arrive from elsewhere: students preparing for competitive exams, litigants and lawyers dealing with the High Court and state offices, and pilgrims who come to the Sangam. Each of these visitors usually searches online before they arrive, often from a small town in eastern UP, Bihar or Madhya Pradesh.
That changes how a local website should be built. A coaching institute near the university is judged by someone who has never walked past its board. A lodge in Daraganj is chosen by a family planning a Magh Mela bath from three hundred kilometres away. An advocate's chamber in Civil Lines may be shortlisted by a client in Gorakhpur who found three names on Google. In all these cases, the website does the introducing that a shop front does in a normal market.
There is a naming wrinkle as well. The city was officially renamed Prayagraj in 2018, but searches still use Allahabad, Ilahabad and sometimes Prayag, and the High Court, the university and many institutions keep the older name. A site that only says one of these misses part of its audience. We write pages that use both names naturally, so a visitor searching either way reaches you, and nobody reading the page feels it was written for a search engine.
How much does a website cost in Prayagraj?
Ask five people in Prayagraj what a website costs and you will hear five answers. Some student freelancers near the MNNIT side of Teliyarganj will make a template site for two or three thousand rupees. Agencies with offices in Civil Lines may quote forty or fifty thousand for a similar page count. The cheap option often leaves hosting and the domain in the developer's name. The expensive one pays for staff you will never speak to.
Here is what we charge. A static site of up to 100 pages, suited to a clinic, a chartered accountant, a tutor or a single shop, starts at ₹10,000 and usually takes one to two weeks. A 299+ page site planned around real search terms, with separate pages for each course, service or practice area, starts at ₹20,000 and takes three to five weeks. Online stores start at ₹50,000, custom web applications such as test-series portals start at ₹60,000, automation projects start at ₹40,000, and ongoing SEO starts at ₹10,000 a month.
Those numbers are floors, not packages. A coaching institute with twelve courses, faculty profiles and a results archive needs more pages than a sweet shop with one menu. You get a written breakdown within about two working days of our first conversation, and we do not bill anything until you have approved it in writing. You can see the full list on our pricing page.
- From ₹10,000: a site of up to 100 pages with enquiry form, map, mobile layout and basic SEO.
- From ₹20,000: 299+ pages with course, service or area pages, schema and a sitemap.
- From ₹50,000: a UPI and card-enabled store with order emails and delivery rules.
- From ₹60,000: logins, dashboards and databases for portals and internal tools.
Websites for civil services, judiciary and entrance coaching
Prayagraj has long been one of north India's main centres for civil services preparation. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission is headquartered here, and national coaching brands have opened centres in Civil Lines alongside dozens of local institutes around the university, Katra, Allahpur and Baghambari Gaddi. Students also come for SSC, railway, banking, UP police and judiciary exams, and many stay in rented rooms in Salori, Allahpur and Shivkuti.
A student choosing an institute is careful with money and suspicious of claims. They want to see the batch start date, the fee, the medium of instruction, the faculty's actual background and results they can check. A glossy homepage with a slogan and a photograph of toppers does not answer those questions. We build course pages that do: syllabus coverage, class timings, Hindi or English medium, test-series details and a fee table that is kept current.
The same site can carry free material that brings students in through search, such as current affairs notes, previous-year question analysis or PCS exam calendars, provided someone on your team writes it. We set up a simple editor so your faculty can publish without calling us. For institutes running online batches, we can add student logins, recorded lectures and mock tests with results, starting from our custom web app pricing. What we will not do is publish selection numbers you cannot back up. Students talk to each other, and a result claim that turns out to be inflated costs more admissions than it wins.
Advocates, chambers and firms around the High Court
The Allahabad High Court is among the largest high courts in the country, and the area around it in Civil Lines, together with the district courts in Kutchery, supports a very large community of advocates, notaries, typists, stamp vendors and legal publishers. Much of this work is found by reference. Increasingly, though, a litigant in a district far from Prayagraj searches for a lawyer who practises in a particular kind of matter before calling anyone.
Legal websites in India have to be handled carefully. Bar Council of India rules restrict advocates from soliciting work or advertising, and while a factual website describing an advocate's name, enrolment, areas of practice and contact details is widely used, anything that reads as a sales pitch or a promise of outcome is a risk. We keep advocate sites plain and factual: a profile, practice areas described in neutral language, courts where you appear, chamber address and a contact form. No testimonials that look like advertisements, no success-rate claims, no “best lawyer” headings.
For firms, legal publishers and support services such as translation, typing and documentation, there is more room. A publisher of law books or a service that helps litigants with certified copies can describe what it does, show prices and take orders online. We build these sites in both Hindi and English, because a large share of the people who need them are more comfortable reading Hindi.
Hotels, lodges and tour operators for Magh Mela and the Sangam
Every winter the Magh Mela brings a large number of pilgrims to the Triveni Sangam, and in Kumbh years the numbers become enormous. For hotels in Civil Lines and near Prayagraj Junction, dharamshalas in Daraganj, camp operators on the Jhunsi and Arail side, boat operators and local tour guides, a few weeks of the year produce a large part of annual income. Searches for rooms, camps and boat rides climb sharply in the weeks before the main bathing dates.
A hospitality site in Prayagraj should answer the questions pilgrims actually ask. How far is the property from the Sangam and from the railway station? Is there parking, and what happens to vehicle access during the Mela? Are meals vegetarian? Do you arrange a boat or a guide? We build pages that answer these directly, in Hindi and English, with a clear rate card, photos of real rooms and an enquiry or booking form that lands on WhatsApp.
Because demand is so seasonal, speed matters more than decoration. When a family opens your site on a patchy mobile connection, they should see your rooms and your number within a couple of seconds. We also help you prepare pages for bathing dates well in advance, since pages published a week before the Mela rarely have time to appear in search. Booking systems with deposits and room calendars are possible as a custom build, but many small lodges do better with a fast site, a listed rate and quick replies.
Shops and wholesalers in Chowk, Katra and Kidganj
Chowk is the old commercial heart of the city, with the Grand Trunk Road running through it and lanes that sell cloth, utensils, spices, sweets, stationery and wedding goods. Katra is a busy market close to the university, strong in books, electronics and everyday retail. Civil Lines has the branded showrooms and restaurants. Kidganj, Mutthiganj and the surrounding areas carry wholesale trade in grains, kirana and household goods that supplies retailers across the district.
Most of these businesses do not need a large website. They need to show up when someone nearby searches for what they sell, and to make it easy to call or send a WhatsApp message. For a Chowk cloth house, that might be a small catalogue of what it stocks, its opening hours and a map pin. For a wholesaler, a price-on-request product list and a dealer enquiry form is often enough. For a sweet shop with a following, a page showing its specialities and whether it ships outside the city can bring orders from families who have moved away.
Prayagraj guava, the Allahabadi amrood, is known well beyond the city, and some growers and sellers now take orders by courier during the season. A small store with UPI payment, a clear note on which pin codes you can reach and a WhatsApp update when the box is shipped can serve that trade without an expensive platform. Our web development work for traders starts at the simplest level and grows only when you need it.
Naini industries, hospitals and clinics
Across the Yamuna, the Naini industrial area has a mix of engineering companies, power and electrical equipment manufacturers, public-sector units and smaller suppliers who fabricate, machine and service parts for them. These businesses are rarely found by walk-in customers. Their buyers are procurement officers and engineers who want a vendor list, capabilities, certifications and a contact who will respond to a drawing or tender.
For Naini suppliers we build straightforward industrial sites: a page for each process or product line, machine and capacity details, approvals or vendor registrations you actually hold, photographs from your own shop floor and a request-for-quote form that accepts attachments. These sites are small, but they make a difference when a buyer compares three vendors and only one has a proper page.
Healthcare is the other large employer in the city. Hospitals and nursing homes around Civil Lines, George Town, Tagore Town and Kamla Nehru Road, diagnostic labs and specialist clinics draw patients from neighbouring districts. For them we build doctor profiles, department pages written in plain language, timings, directions and appointment requests. We do not write cure claims or comparisons with other hospitals, and we check with your doctors before any medical explanation goes live.
Showing up in local searches across Prayagraj
Local search in Prayagraj is shaped by the city's geography. It sprawls along two rivers, and a clinic in Jhunsi or a school in Phaphamau is effectively serving a different catchment from a shop in Civil Lines. Google's map results take the searcher's location into account, so a Google Business Profile helps most with people nearby. We start by agreeing which areas you genuinely serve, and then build your profile and pages around them.
The profile work covers choosing the right category, listing services, adding real photographs, setting accurate hours and asking satisfied customers for honest reviews. Consistency matters too: your business name, address and phone number should match across Justdial, IndiaMART, Sulekha and any sector directory. Old listings under Allahabad addresses should be updated rather than left to contradict the new ones.
On the website itself, we write pages around the phrases people in the city really use. Many searches here are in Hindi or Hinglish: “Allahabad me PCS coaching”, “Prayagraj me sasta lodge Sangam ke paas”, or “website banwana hai Prayagraj”. Some are in Devanagari. We include these where they read naturally, add schema markup, fix page speed and submit a clean sitemap to Search Console. Monthly SEO starts at ₹10,000, and each report tells you in ordinary words what moved and what we plan next.
- Google Business Profile setup, categories, photos and review requests
- Pages targeted at both Prayagraj and Allahabad search terms
- Hindi, Hinglish and Devanagari phrases where they fit naturally
- Cleanup of old directory listings with outdated addresses
- Plain-language monthly reports from Search Console data
WhatsApp automation for admission rushes and Mela weeks
Prayagraj businesses tend to face their busiest days all at once. A coaching institute gets hundreds of enquiries in the fortnight after a PCS notification. A hotel near the station receives calls from dozens of families on the same evening before a bathing date. Small teams cannot answer all of them, and every unanswered message is a student or guest who goes elsewhere.
Automation helps most in these bursts. We connect your WhatsApp Business number, website forms and a Google Sheet or simple CRM so that every enquiry is recorded with the course, date or room type the person asked about. An assistant, which can use AI where it is useful, answers repeated questions about fees, batch timings, room tariffs, check-in rules or distance from the Sangam in Hindi or English, and hands the conversation to a person when the question is unusual or when someone is ready to pay.
Other useful jobs include fee reminders before instalment dates, sending hall tickets or study material to enrolled students, a morning summary of new enquiries for the owner, and follow-ups to families who asked about rooms but did not book. Projects start at ₹40,000. We look at your current process first, automate only the repetitive and low-risk steps, and leave anything involving refunds, disputes or legal advice with a person.
How a remote team works with clients in Prayagraj
We should be clear about this: we have no office in Prayagraj, and we will not put a borrowed address on our site to look local. We are three engineers who work remotely with clients across India. Not paying rent or a sales team is part of why our prices are lower than those of agencies with a Civil Lines address.
In practice the work starts with a phone call or a WhatsApp conversation about what your business does and who your customers are. We then send a page plan, a timeline and an itemised quote. Once you approve, you get a working preview link, usually within the first week or two, that you can open on your own phone and share with your partners or family. Comments come back on WhatsApp, and small fixes are often live the same day. We keep Indian hours and answer seven days a week.
You will know who is doing what. One of us builds the site and any full-stack features. Another of us handles AI, machine learning, AWS hosting and data work. The third of us manages the project and looks after data science and automation. If you want to ask any of us something directly, you can.
Your domain, your code, and who fixes things after launch
A surprising number of Prayagraj businesses do not control their own websites. The domain was booked years ago by a nephew who has since moved to Noida, or by a designer who stopped replying, and nobody remembers the password. When the renewal lapses, the site disappears, and sometimes the domain is bought by someone else. For a coaching institute whose name is its brand, that is a serious loss.
We avoid this by setting things up in your name from the start. The domain is registered to you, the hosting account is yours, and at launch you receive every login plus a short note explaining where everything lives. The source code is yours as well. If you ever want to move to another developer, you can do it without asking our permission or paying an exit fee.
Maintenance after launch is free for the first two months. That covers updating notices and results, fixing bugs, applying security and software updates, taking backups, watching uptime and checking speed. After that, it continues from ₹8,000 a month, or you can simply message us when something needs changing and pay for that work alone.
Questions to ask before hiring anyone in Prayagraj
Whoever you hire, a few checks will save trouble later. Ask whose name the domain will be registered in and ask to see the confirmation. Ask for hosting access at launch, not “later”. Open two or three of the developer's live sites on your phone over mobile data, not on office Wi-Fi, and see how quickly they load. Ask what happens when something breaks four months after launch and whether that repair is included.
Be wary of anyone who promises the first position on Google within a month. No honest developer can guarantee rankings, and searches like “IAS coaching Prayagraj” are contested by national brands with large budgets. Ask instead what the site will include for search: page titles, descriptions, a sitemap, Search Console setup, fast loading and a separate page for each thing you sell. Those basics decide more than any promise.
Finally, pay attention to how you are treated before you pay. If a developer takes days to answer and cannot explain the quote, that will not improve after the advance is transferred. If you want a second opinion on a quote you already have, you can send it to us and we will tell you honestly whether it looks fair.
