What does a website designer in Bhavnagar actually do?
A website designer decides how your site looks, reads and guides people, before any code is written. That covers the page plan, the order of information on each page, typography, colour, photo choices and the wording of headings and buttons. The goal is simple: a visitor understands what you offer and how to contact you within a few seconds.
Most requests for a website designer in Bhavnagar come from one of three situations. A business has no site and wants to look established. A business has an old site that looks dated on phones. Or a business has a site that looks fine but brings no enquiries, which is usually a layout and wording problem rather than a colour problem.
In each case, good design begins with questions, not visuals. Who visits? What do they need to know before they call? What makes them trust you over the shop next door or the mill in the next estate? Answers to those questions decide the layout far more than any trend.
Website designer vs website developer: which do you need?
You need both skills, and they are easiest to buy together. A designer decides what the site looks like; a developer makes it work, load fast and stay secure. When the two are different people, details get lost between the mock-up and the live site: spacing changes, fonts swap, and phone layouts get improvised.
The BtechWaleTech team does both. The person who designs the layout works with the person who writes the code from the first sketch, so what you approve is what goes live. Within the team, one developer leads design and front-end code, another handles hosting, speed and technical SEO, and the third manages schedule, content and training.
If you already have a designer or a brand guide from a branding studio, we can build from their files instead. And if you only want design files to hand to another developer, ask; it is possible, though most Bhavnagar clients find the combined route simpler and cheaper.

What should a Bhavnagar brand's website look like?
It should look like your trade at its best, not like a generic template. Bhavnagar's businesses are varied, and each sector carries different visual expectations.
Diamond cutting and polishing units, which the MSME ministry's district profile counts among the district's biggest small industries, usually sell to trade buyers who value discretion; restrained layouts, generous white space and precise language work better than glitter. Steel re-rolling mills around Bhavnagar and Sihor need industrial clarity: size tables, process photos and a direct enquiry route. Snack makers known for Bhavnagari gathiya need appetite appeal, which comes from close, warm product photography.
Hospitals and clinics need calm, readable pages with timings and doctors' details. Schools need clear admission paths for parents. Hotels and dharamshalas serving pilgrims to Palitana need photos of rooms and simple booking requests. Traders linked to the Alang ship-recycling yard need categorised photos of equipment more than design flourishes. The city's own heritage, from its palaces to its temples, can inspire colour and texture where it suits the brand, but it should never overwhelm the content.
How are page layouts decided?
Layouts are decided by what a visitor must do on each page, in order of importance. We sketch the home page first because it sets the visual rules, then reuse those rules for inner pages so the site feels consistent and costs less to build.
On a phone, the first screen matters most. It should say plainly what you do and where, show one strong photo, and offer one clear action, usually WhatsApp or call. Below that come proof (products, facilities, photos of real work), then details (specifications, timings, prices or ranges), then contact again.
For product-heavy Bhavnagar sites, the product page layout is the most important design decision. A buyer comparing three suppliers wants the size table, the material grade and the enquiry button without scrolling through paragraphs. For service businesses, the equivalent is a short answer to “what does it cost and how long does it take?”
- One message and one action on the first screen
- Real photos before long paragraphs
- Specifications or timings in tables, not images
- A contact route visible on every scroll position
Photography: what to shoot and who should shoot it
Real photos of your premises, products and people build trust faster than any design element. Because we work remotely, we do not take photographs; instead we send a shot list that tells you exactly what to capture, at what angle and in which orientation.
A phone with a clean lens, daylight from a window and a plain background produce surprisingly good product photos. For a plant, a hotel or a showroom, a local photographer is usually worth the fee, and our shot list saves them guessing. We then crop, compress and size every image so pages load quickly on mobile data.
Stock photos have a place for abstract backgrounds or icons, but a Bhavnagar buyer can tell when a “factory floor” photo shows someone else's factory. We will not fill your site with them when your own pictures exist.
- Wide shot of the entrance or building, in morning light
- Three to five photos of work in progress or products in use
- Close-ups of product details, with a scale reference where useful
- Team or owner photo for the about page, if you are comfortable
- All photos in landscape and portrait, so layouts can use either
Typography and colour, including Gujarati fonts
Typography carries most of the design on a phone, so we choose fonts for readability first. Body text needs comfortable size and line spacing; headings need contrast without shouting. Colours come from your logo or signage, adjusted so text stays readable for older visitors and in bright sunlight.
Gujarati needs special care. Its letters have more vertical extent than Latin text, so line heights that look fine in English can clip Gujarati characters. We use Unicode Gujarati with web fonts from Google Fonts such as Noto Sans Gujarati, Hind Vadodara, Mukta Vaani or Baloo Bhai 2, chosen to pair with your English font, and we test both scripts on the same page.
Never accept Gujarati text placed inside images. It cannot be read by search engines or screen readers, it blurs when zoomed, and changing a word means redesigning the image.
Our Gujarati website development page explains the technical side in more detail.
Who writes the words: English and Gujarati copy
Words are part of design. A beautiful layout with vague headings still loses visitors. We draft or edit English and Hindi copy for every page: headings that state what you do, short paragraphs, specific details and clear calls to action.
The BtechWaleTech team does not write Gujarati. For Gujarati pages, you, a family member or a translator supply or approve the text. We give you the English draft as a starting point and leave room in the layout for Gujarati, which often runs to a different length. Machine translation is a poor substitute for someone who knows your trade and customers.
Your input matters most on facts: what you make, how long things take, which areas you serve, what makes you different. We turn those facts into readable pages; we never invent claims, awards or statistics for you.

Designing for phones, WhatsApp and UPI
Almost every Bhavnagar visitor will see your site on a phone first, often an inexpensive Android over mobile data. We design at phone width before desktop, keep tap targets large, avoid heavy animations and test on real low-cost devices.
WhatsApp is the natural next step for most visitors, so its button is designed into the layout rather than stuck on afterwards. On product pages, the button can carry a pre-filled message naming the product. Phone numbers are tappable everywhere.
Where payments are needed, the checkout or payment page is designed for thumbs, with UPI shown first because that is what most buyers use. Full stores, from ₹50,000, get their own screen designs for product grids, filters, cart and checkout.
How much does a website designer in Bhavnagar charge?
Design prices in Bhavnagar vary widely, because some quotes cover only a mock-up while others include the full built site. With us, design and build come together: a business site starts at ₹10,000, an SEO site at ₹20,000 and a store at ₹50,000.
The design part of the price depends on how many distinct layouts you need, whether you want custom icons or illustrations, how much copy editing is involved and whether you need a Gujarati version. A site with three layouts reused across thirty pages costs less than ten pages each designed differently.
Things that are not in our price: professional photography, printing and logo design from scratch. We will tell you when those are worth buying and how to brief them. Running costs for domain and hosting are paid by you directly.

How remote design reviews work, step by step
Design suits remote work well, because everything happens on a screen anyway. The BtechWaleTech team works remotely from India; your reviews happen on screen-share calls and through comments on WhatsApp, and the site itself grows on a staging link.
- Discovery call: your customers, competitors you admire, and sites you like or dislike
- Mood board: two or three style directions with fonts, colours and photo treatment
- Page plan: the list of pages and what each must achieve
- Home page mock-up: reviewed on a screen-share call, revised once or twice
- Inner pages: built directly on staging using the approved style
- Final review on your own phone, then launch
Seeing the real site on staging, rather than a static picture, means you judge the design as customers will experience it.
How to judge a website designer's portfolio
Open the designer's live sites on your phone, not their presentation slides. A screenshot can hide slow loading, broken menus and unreadable text; a live site cannot.
- Does the first screen say clearly what the business does?
- Do pages load quickly on mobile data?
- Is text readable without zooming, in every language used?
- Are photos real and sharp, or generic stock?
- Is the contact route obvious on every page?
- Do different client sites look different, or like the same template recoloured?
- Will you own the design files and the site?
Also ask who will build the design, and whether you can speak to them. If the answer is a third party you will never meet, expect differences between the mock-up and the result. Our page on hiring a website designer near you covers more questions.
Design that Google and AI search can read
Good design and good SEO pull in the same direction when text is real text. Headings in proper heading tags, descriptive image file names and alt text, readable paragraphs and fast pages all help search engines understand a Bhavnagar business, and they cost nothing extra when built in from the start.
Design choices that hurt visibility include text inside images, sliders that hide content, huge background videos and pages that rely on scripts to show basic information. We avoid them. AI-driven search features tend to quote short, clear answers, so we design pages with a direct answer near the top: what you do, where, and how to get in touch.
Nobody can guarantee a ranking, but a clear, fast design linked to your Google Business Profile gives you a fair chance. Ongoing SEO is optional from ₹10,000/mo.
Build-side details are on our SEO-friendly website page.
Design files, ownership and red flags
When the project ends, you should hold the design files, the fonts' licence details, the images you supplied, the site code and every login. Most fonts we use are open-licensed, so there are no ongoing fees. If a paid font or image is needed, we tell you before buying it in your name.
Watch for these warning signs when hiring any designer for your Bhavnagar business.
- Only desktop mock-ups shown, with phone layouts “to be done later”
- Portfolio sites that all look alike apart from colours
- Gujarati delivered as images rather than text
- No clarity on who builds the design or who owns the files
- Stock photos used even when you offered real ones
- Heavy animations that make pages slow on mobile data
Worked example: a hypothetical saree shop's first website
This scenario is invented to show the design process, not a real client. Say a family runs a saree and dress-material shop in Bhavnagar's old market area, serves local customers and wedding shoppers from nearby towns, and has never had a website.
The design starts with photos. Using our shot list, the owner's nephew photographs twenty sarees draped on a stand near a window, plus close-ups of borders and fabric. The mood board offers a warm, festive direction and a quieter, modern one; the family picks the warm option, with colours taken from the shop's signboard.
The site has eight pages: home, collections by occasion, bridal, fabric guide, store visit information, about, FAQs and contact. Each collection photo opens a WhatsApp message naming the saree. English copy is drafted by us; the owner's daughter writes Gujarati for the home, collections and visit pages. It fits the business plan from ₹10,000, with an online store left as a possible second phase.
No promise is made about footfall or sales. The example simply shows how design choices follow customers and content.
Keeping the design fresh, and designing for nearby towns
Two months of maintenance after launch are free, which covers new banners for festivals, small layout tweaks and photo swaps as your business settles into the site. After that, optional care starts at ₹8,000/mo; many owners simply message us when they want a seasonal update.
We design for businesses across the district in the same remote way. Rolling mills and utensil makers in Sihor, agro-processors in Mahuva, pilgrim services in Palitana and shops in Talaja each need a different look, but the same process, prices and ownership terms apply everywhere.
