Hindupur: a trading town on the Karnataka border
Hindupur is the largest town in Sri Sathya Sai district, sitting on the Penna river at the southern edge of Andhra Pradesh with the Karnataka border close on several sides. Bengaluru's airport is roughly 90 km down the road, which shapes a lot of local commerce: suppliers look south for buyers, and shoppers from nearby Karnataka villages come north for Hindupur's markets.
The town's own description of itself is simple. Clothing and retail are the biggest businesses, followed by food producers and wholesalers. There is a large government cocoon market where farmers from the district and from Karnataka sell silk cocoons, and agricultural markets where tamarind and chillies change hands. The old spinning mills have closed, but garment making and textile retail remain central.
Industry has moved in around the town. The Penukonda–Hindupur industrial area, maintained by APIIC, hosts manufacturing, pharmaceutical, automobile and IT units, and Kia's car plant at Penukonda brought suppliers, contractors and service firms into the corridor along NH 44.
That mix gives Hindupur a wide range of web needs, from a saree shop's catalogue to a component supplier's capability statement.
Garment makers, saree shops and textile wholesalers
Walk through Hindupur's shopping streets and clothing dominates: saree showrooms, readymade garment wholesalers, dress material dealers, tailoring units and school uniform suppliers. Many already sell on WhatsApp, sending photos one customer at a time and noting orders in a book.
A proper catalogue changes that routine. We build garment and saree sites where each design has clear photos, fabric, sizes or length, colour options and an order button that opens WhatsApp with the product code already typed. Wholesalers can show minimum order quantities and a price-on-request flow so retail customers and trade buyers see the right information.
For shops ready to sell online, a full store with UPI, cards, shipping rules and stock tracking starts from ₹50,000. Festival and wedding collections can be scheduled in advance, and we show your staff how to add new stock without calling us each time.
Wholesalers supplying small shops in Karnataka and Rayalaseema towns often need something different from a retail store: a password-protected trade catalogue with wholesale prices, pack quantities and credit terms visible only to approved buyers. Orders placed there can drop straight into a sheet your dispatch team already uses, which cuts down the back-and-forth over which size and colour was actually ordered.
Silk cocoon, reeling and the sericulture economy
The cocoon market is one of Hindupur's distinguishing features. Sericulture farmers from the surrounding mandals and from Karnataka bring their harvest here, and reelers, twisters and silk traders buy for weaving centres such as Dharmavaram and beyond.
Most of this trade is regulated and happens in person, and a website will not replace the auction floor. Where it helps is around the market: reeling units showing their capacity and yarn quality to weavers, suppliers of mulberry saplings, rearing equipment and disinfectants listing products for farmers, and silk traders presenting grades and contact details to buyers in other states.
We keep these sites practical, bilingual in Telugu and English, and quick to update. Traders who want better records can add a simple web app for lots, weights, rates and payments per farmer or buyer, starting from ₹60,000.
Tamarind, chilli and wholesale food trade
Hindupur's market yard at Mukkidipeta handles large volumes of tamarind and chillies, and the tamarind trade gives the town a regular rhythm of auction days, commission agents, cold storages, graders and packers. Buyers from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and other states call traders they have dealt with for years.
Those relationships stay on the phone, but new buyers check first. A trader's site that lists products, grades, seeded and deseeded forms, packing sizes, storage and dispatch options, plus GST and FSSAI details, answers the first round of questions before the call. A rate page you can edit from your phone keeps regular buyers informed during the season.
Food producers making tamarind paste, pickles, spice powders or snacks can sell directly through a small UPI store with honest labels, shelf life and pin-code shipping. We would rather launch with twenty well-photographed products than two hundred blurry ones.
Traders with several buyers and commission agents can also track who owes what. A simple ledger web app that records each lot, weight, rate, advance and balance, and sends a WhatsApp statement at the end of the week, removes a lot of arguments at season's end.
Website prices for Hindupur businesses
Hindupur owners get quotes from cheap template builders at one end and Bengaluru agencies asking many times our starting figure at the other. The first usually leaves out search setup and ownership; the second pays for an office and sales team you will never meet. We publish our starting prices so you can compare on facts.
A static site with up to 100 pages starts at ₹10,000 and is typically live in one to two weeks. A search-first site of 299+ pages, useful when you want Telugu, Urdu and English pages for many products or areas, begins at ₹20,000 and takes three to five weeks. Stores with UPI start at ₹50,000, WhatsApp and AI automation at ₹40,000, and custom web apps at ₹60,000. Monthly SEO is from ₹10,000. Details are on our pricing page.
Every figure is a floor, not a ceiling. A garment wholesaler with 600 designs needs more work than a clinic with six pages, and your quote will say exactly why.
- From ₹10,000: business site up to 100 pages with map, WhatsApp button and on-page basics.
- From ₹20,000: 299+ page multilingual site with schema, sitemap and Search Console.
- From ₹50,000: online store with catalogue, UPI and card payments and order alerts.
- From ₹60,000: custom web app for records, orders, dispatch or student data.
Suppliers in the Penukonda–Hindupur industrial belt
Industrial units around Hindupur and Penukonda include automobile component makers, pharma and chemical units, fabrication shops, packaging suppliers, transporters, manpower agencies and canteen contractors. When a purchase team or a new tier-one customer shortlists vendors, the first check is often a website.
We build capability sites that answer that check: processes and machines, capacities, materials handled, quality systems and certifications you actually hold, plant photos, safety practices and the industries you supply. A downloadable company profile and an RFQ form that asks for drawings, quantities and delivery schedule save your sales engineer a round of calls.
Service firms such as logistics, staffing and facility management need clear service and coverage pages and quick routing of enquiries to the right person. These sites usually start from ₹20,000, and plants that want digital job cards or dispatch logs can add custom software later.
Writing for Telugu, Urdu and Kannada-speaking customers
Hindupur is unusually mixed for an Andhra town. Census figures show about six in ten residents speaking Telugu and about a third speaking Urdu, with smaller Kannada and Tamil groups. Schools teach in Telugu, English and Urdu. A clinic, school or garment store here talks to all these families daily.
On the web, that means choosing languages deliberately. Most local searches are typed in Telugu or English letters, or spoken into a phone. Urdu pages suit some community-facing businesses such as schools, bookshops and certain clinics. Kannada matters for traders who sell into the villages on the Karnataka side.
We build language versions as proper separate pages with their own titles, not a translate widget, and a native speaker reviews each one. You decide which pages deserve which languages, so you are not paying for text nobody reads.
Lepakshi visitors, hotels and travel services
Lepakshi, around 14 km from Hindupur, is known for its Vijayanagara-era Veerabhadra temple, painted ceilings, the hanging pillar and the large monolithic Nandi. Day-trippers from Bengaluru and pilgrims on the Puttaparthi circuit pass through, and Hindupur is the nearest town with a real choice of hotels, restaurants and taxis.
Travellers search for “hotels near Lepakshi”, “Hindupur to Lepakshi taxi” or “Puttaparthi Lepakshi tour” on their phones. A hotel or restaurant with real photos, room types, tariff ranges, parking, distance to the temple and station, and a WhatsApp booking button gets the enquiry that a portal listing loses. Taxi operators can publish route pages with honest timings and vehicle choices.
We keep these sites light and fast, and pair them with a well-maintained Google Business Profile, because most travellers pick from the map.
Schools, coaching centres and clinics
Hindupur is a large town without a big university of its own. Many students leave for Anantapur or Bengaluru for engineering and degree courses, while the town supports the Government Polytechnic, private colleges such as BIT, a wide set of Telugu, English and Urdu medium schools, and coaching centres preparing students for EAPCET, NEET, polytechnic entrance and government jobs.
For a school, the website mainly has to reassure parents: medium of instruction, classes offered, fee structure, transport routes, facilities, staff and a calendar they can check without phoning the office. Coaching centres need batch timings, results they can actually document, faculty and a demo-class request that lands on the counsellor's WhatsApp. We can add a small portal for notes, attendance and test marks from ₹60,000.
Clinics, nursing homes and diagnostic labs in Hindupur serve patients from surrounding mandals and from Karnataka border villages. Doctor profiles with qualifications and languages spoken, clear consultation timings, a booking request and directions from the bus stand and station cover most of what patients want. We keep health content factual and never publish cure claims.
Before you hire anyone to build your site
Ask three plain questions of any developer, including us. In whose name will the domain be registered? Will I get the hosting login when the site goes live? What happens, and what will it cost, if something breaks six months from now? Vague answers are a warning.
Ask to see two sites they built that are still live, and open them on your own phone using mobile data, not office Wi-Fi. For a Hindupur business, check whether they can write proper Telugu or Urdu instead of pasting machine translation, and whether titles, descriptions, a sitemap and Search Console setup are part of the price.
Anyone promising the top spot on Google within a month is guessing or selling. Watch how quickly they reply while they still want your business; that is normally the best response time you will get.
Local search in Hindupur: maps, reviews and real areas
For a Hindupur shop, the Google map pack is usually the whole contest. It shows three businesses, chosen by how relevant they look, how close they are to the searcher and how well known they seem through reviews and mentions. Our SEO service works on the profile and the website as one job.
Searches here are mixed: “Hindupur lo saree shop”, “Mukkidipeta market yard daggara lodge”, “Hindupur garments wholesale”, or Urdu and Kannada phrases typed in English letters. We write for these real patterns and name the parts of town and nearby villages you actually serve, such as the market yard area, Railway Station Road or Kirikera, instead of generating pages for places you never deliver to.
We also fix categories, hours and photos, set up a simple routine for asking happy customers for reviews, and correct your details on Justdial and trade directories. Monthly SEO begins at ₹10,000.
- Business Profile clean-up and regular photo posts
- Telugu, Urdu and English pages for real search phrases
- Area pages only where you genuinely trade
- Consistent listings on Justdial and B2B portals
- A short monthly report written in plain words
WhatsApp and AI automation for Hindupur traders
In Hindupur, orders arrive as photos, voice notes and forwarded screenshots. A garment wholesaler may get fifty messages before lunch asking whether a design is in stock, and a tamarind trader fields rate questions every auction day.
We connect your WhatsApp Business number, website and a Google Sheet or small CRM so every enquiry is captured and assigned. An assistant can reply to routine questions using details you approve, share catalogue links, collect sizes and quantities and hand the chat to a salesperson. Schools can send fee reminders; clinics can confirm appointments; traders can turn order messages into a tidy daily list.
Automation starts at ₹40,000. We only automate the repetitive, low-risk parts. Bargaining, complaints, medical questions and payment problems stay with people, and we tell you honestly when a bot would do more harm than good.
Working with us from Hindupur
We have no Hindupur office and do not pretend to. We are three engineers working remotely for businesses across India, and you speak directly to the people who build your project rather than a salesperson.
One of us leads full-stack development. Another of us covers AI, machine learning, AWS and data work. The third of us handles project management, data science and automation. A project begins with a WhatsApp conversation about your business, then a page plan and itemised quote. Soon after, you get a preview link to check on your own phone, and changes are discussed on WhatsApp.
We keep IST hours and reply seven days a week. Minor edits usually go live the same day. To start, message us with a line about what you sell.
Ownership, handover and two free months of care
Plenty of Hindupur shops have a dead website somewhere: built years ago, registered in the developer's name, and lost when the renewal slipped. We structure every project so that cannot happen to you.
The domain and hosting accounts are in your name from day one, every login is handed over at launch, and the code belongs to you. Switching developers later needs no permission and carries no exit fee. We include a brief document explaining where everything lives.
For two months after launch we look after updates, bug fixes, security patches, backups and uptime checks free of charge. Afterwards, maintenance is available from ₹8,000 a month, or you can simply call on us when you need something. Our web development page explains each build in detail.
