Website banane wala kaun hota hai aur woh actually kya karta hai?
Website banane wala woh insaan ya team hai jo aapke business ki website shuru se aakhir tak taiyaar karta hai: kaun se pages chahiye, mobile par kaisi dikhegi, kaun sa button dabane par customer aapko WhatsApp karega, aur website internet par kaise live hogi. Kai log sochte hain ki bas design ban gaya to kaam khatam, lekin asli kaam design ke baad shuru hota hai.
Ek poora kaam karne wala developer yeh sab karta hai:
- Aapke business ko samajh kar pages ka plan banata hai
- Mobile phone ko dhyaan mein rakh kar design karta hai
- Code ya WordPress jaise system mein website banata hai
- Aapka text aur photos sahi tarah lagata hai, photos ko halka karke
- WhatsApp button, call button, map aur enquiry form jodta hai
- Domain, hosting, SSL aur Google Search Console aapke naam par setup karta hai
- Launch ke baad galtiyan theek karta hai aur chhote badlav karta hai
BtechWaleTech team yeh saare kaam karti hai. Jo hum nahi karte, woh bhi seedha bata dete hain: dukan ki photography, printing, board ya computer hardware ka kaam. Agar koi developer sirf design ki baat kare aur hosting, domain ya baad ki dekhbhaal par chup rahe, to samajh lijiye ki aadha kaam baad mein aapke sar par aayega.
Who needs a website banane wala, and why are so many people searching?
Mostly small businesses getting their first proper website: kirana and electronics shops, clinics, coaching centres, schools, caterers, contractors, small factories and traders, often in towns where nobody nearby builds websites full time. Many have run on word of mouth and WhatsApp for years and now notice customers checking Google before calling.
Three things have pushed this. First, customers search on phones, and Google judges the phone version of every site: it finished moving all sites to mobile-first indexing in July 2024, according to Google Search Central. Second, customers expect to pay by UPI, run by the National Payments Corporation of India, so bookings and online orders need it. Third, a free Google Business Profile shows your shop on Maps, and a website gives that listing somewhere useful to send people.
The supply side is crowded and confusing. A search for someone to build a website throws up students, relatives, local computer shops, solo freelancers, freelance teams, agencies and do-it-yourself builders, all promising a website. Quotes vary widely, and most buyers cannot tell what is missing from the cheaper ones. The rest of this guide is about telling them apart, so you pay once and get something that keeps working.
Website banane wala kitna paisa leta hai?
Yeh kaam ke size par depend karta hai, shehar par nahi.
- Kitne alag tarah ke pages chahiye: home, service, gallery, blog alag alag design hote hain
Ek baat dhyaan rakhiye: domain, hosting aur business email ka saalana kharcha alag hota hai, jo aap seedha provider ko dete hain. Hum quote mein yeh bhi likh dete hain taaki saal bhar ka poora hisaab saamne rahe. Saalana kharche ki detail website ka yearly kharcha par hai, aur kam budget mein kaam chalane ke tareeke kam paise mein website kaise banwaye par.
Freelancer, agency, DIY builder or a relative: the four kinds of website banane wala
Each option suits someone. The trick is matching the option to how much the website matters to your business.
A relative or a student
Cheap and well meaning, and fine for a hobby page. The risk is what happens in a year: they move away, get busy with a job, or registered the domain in their own name. If you go this way, insist the domain and hosting are in your name from day one.
A DIY website builder
Builders such as Wix let you drag and drop a site yourself on a monthly plan. Good if you enjoy it and have time. The site stays on the builder's platform, and moving away later usually means rebuilding. Our Wix versus WordPress page explains the trade-off.
A solo freelancer
Often skilled and affordable, with direct contact. Work pauses when that one person is ill, busy or moves on, so check how they handle support.
A freelance team
Two to five people with split skills, like the BtechWaleTech team: still direct contact, but someone continues if one person is away.
An agency
Larger teams with account managers, suited to big projects needing many people at once. More layers between you and the developer.
For most small businesses wanting a proper website with support, a solo freelancer or a small freelance team is the practical middle. Our comparison of a freelancer and an agency for a website goes further.
Website banne mein kitna time lagta hai, aur kaam kaise hota hai?
Business website aam taur par 1–2 hafte mein live ho jaati hai, agar aapka text aur photos ready hain. SEO website mein 3–5 hafte, online store mein 4–8 hafte aur portal mein 6–12 hafte lagte hain. Sabse zyada der content ki wajah se hoti hai, code ki wajah se nahi.
Hamare saath kaam aise chalta hai, aap jahan bhi hon:
- Pehla din: WhatsApp par message, phir aadhe ghante ki call jismein aapka business, customers aur zaroori pages samjhe jaate hain
- Do din ke andar: itemised quote, jismein pages, features, kharcha aur dates likhi hoti hain
- Approval ke baad: domain aur hosting aapke naam par, phir pehle pages ek private staging link par
- Doosra hafta: baaki pages, form, WhatsApp button aur map; sasta Android phone aur mobile data par testing
- Launch: website live, SSL chalu, Google Search Console mein sitemap submit
- Uske baad: saare logins aur ek recorded video aapko, aur 2 mahine free maintenance shuru
Staging link ka fayda yeh hai ki aap website ko launch se pehle apne phone par chala kar dekh sakte hain, aur badlav text ya voice note se bhej sakte hain. Detail mein samay ka hisaab website banane mein kitna time page par hai.
Kya kya milta hai? What a complete website job should include
Before comparing two quotes, check that both cover the same things. A cheaper quote that skips half of this list is not cheaper. A complete job from any developer should include:
- A page plan agreed before design starts
- Phone-first design, checked on a budget Android phone
- Click-to-call, a WhatsApp button and a map with your full address
- An enquiry form that reaches your email or phone, with spam protection
- Your photos compressed so pages load quickly on mobile data
- Basic SEO: page titles, descriptions, a sitemap and Google Search Console
- SSL, so browsers do not label your site “Not secure”
- Domain, hosting and Google accounts registered in your name
- A short recorded video showing how to make simple edits
- A defined period of free fixes after launch, with us two months
Ask any developer to tick this list against their quote. Anything left out should be your decision, such as skipping the blog for now, not something you discover after paying. If you sell products, add online payment, delivery rules and order messages to the list; our guide to opening an online dukan covers those.
Paise dene se pehle website banane wale ko kaise check karein?
Paanch minute ki checking baad ke mahino ki pareshani bacha sakti hai. Kisi bhi website banane wale ko advance dene se pehle yeh zaroor kijiye:
- Unki banayi teen live websites apne phone par mobile data par kholiye. Jaldi khulti hain? Form aur WhatsApp button kaam karte hain?
- Jo insaan website banayega, usse seedhe baat kijiye, sirf bechne wale se nahi
- Itemised quote maangiye: kaun se pages, kya features, kya shaamil nahi hai
- Poochiye domain aur hosting kiske naam par hoga. Sahi jawab sirf ek hai: aapke naam par
- Poochiye launch ke baad teesre mahine mein kuch kharab hua to kaun theek karega, aur kitne mein
- Payment stages mein dijiye, design dekhne ke baad, poora paisa pehle nahi
- Jis naam par payment ja raha hai, woh quote wale naam se match hona chahiye
Agar koi “Google par number one” ki guarantee de, to sambhal jaiye; rankings ki guarantee koi nahi de sakta. Hum bhi isi tarah check kiye jaane ke liye taiyaar hain: live kaam dikhate hain, developers seedhe baat karte hain, aur har account shuru se aapke naam par banta hai. Aur sawaalon ke liye website kaise banwaye guide dekhiye.
Ask this early, because the platform decides your running costs and who can edit the site later. The four common choices, in plain terms:
Simple static website
Fast, cheap to host and hard to hack. Best for shops, clinics and service businesses whose content changes a few times a month; edits are sent to the developer on WhatsApp.
WordPress
Adds an admin panel so your staff can post offers, news or photos themselves. Needs regular updates, which a care plan or your developer handles.
Shopify or WooCommerce
For online stores with cart, payment and delivery. Shopify is hosted and simple; WooCommerce runs on hosting you control.
Website builders
Drag-and-drop platforms on a monthly plan. Easy to start, harder to move away from later.
A good developer explains why one platform fits your business better than another, and is happy to say when the simplest option is enough. Be wary of anyone who builds on a private system only they understand; if they disappear, nobody else can maintain it. We use widely known tools, so any competent developer could take over in future.
Hindi, English or a regional language website?
Choose the language your customers actually read. For a shop in Varanasi or a coaching centre in Patna, Hindi pages may bring more enquiries than English ones; for a supplier selling to other states, English often leads, with Hindi alongside.
We write and edit English and Hindi ourselves. For Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Odia, Assamese, Punjabi, Urdu or Gujarati, you or your translator supply or approve the text, and we handle everything technical: proper Unicode text rather than images of text, fonts such as the Noto Sans family that display the script cleanly, a language switcher, and separate page addresses for each language so Google shows the right version.
Hinglish has its place too. Many customers search in Hinglish, like “website banane wala” itself, so a few headings and FAQs in Hinglish can match how they type, while forms and key details stay clear in Hindi or English.
Do check that buttons, form labels and error messages are translated, not just the main text. A Hindi page with an English-only form feels unfinished. Our page on Hindi SEO explains how Hindi searches behave on Google.
Mobile, WhatsApp and UPI: what a small business website really needs
Most of your visitors will arrive on a phone, often a budget Android on mobile data, and many will tap WhatsApp before reading a full paragraph. Build for that visitor first.
On mobile, that means large text, big buttons within thumb reach, photos compressed so they load quickly, and no pop-ups covering the page. Google's Core Web Vitals, published on web.dev, give clear targets: the main content should appear within 2.5 seconds, taps should respond within 200 milliseconds, and the layout should not jump around while loading.
WhatsApp is usually the enquiry channel. A good developer sets up the button so the chat opens with a message such as “Mujhe AC service ke baare mein jaankari chahiye”, which tells you which page brought the customer. A call button sits beside it for people who would rather talk.
For payments, UPI suits online orders, advance bookings and fee collection. Online stores connect a payment provider that you sign up with, so the money goes straight into your account; simpler sites can use a UPI payment link. If you take orders on WhatsApp today, a catalogue website with an order button is a good first step before a full store.
Google par kaise dikhegi? SEO, Google Business Profile and AI answers
Through basics built in from day one, then patience. Nobody can guarantee rankings, and anyone who promises a fixed position by a fixed date is guessing. What a good build gives you is a fair chance:
- A clear title and description for every page, written for how customers search
- Pages for each service and each area you genuinely serve
- Your name, address and phone exactly the same on the website and Google Business Profile
- Schema markup that tells Google you are a local business, with timings and location
- A sitemap submitted in Google Search Console, under your own Google account
- Fast mobile pages
For local customers, the free Google Business Profile often brings the first calls; our guide on Google Map par dukan kaise dale walks through it. AI tools such as ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews tend to quote short, clear statements, so we write key facts plainly: what you do, where, for whom and from what price. For steady growth after launch, monthly SEO starts at ₹10,000/mo; Google mein website rank kaise kare explains what that work involves.
Domain, hosting aur code kiske naam par? Ownership and handover
In your name, always, from the first day. This is the single most important thing to settle with whoever builds your site, because whoever controls the domain controls your website and your business email.
A very common story goes like this: a relative or a local developer bought the domain years ago in their own name, then moved on. Renewal reminders go to them, the domain lapses, and the business loses both its website and its email address overnight. Getting it back can take weeks, if it is possible at all.
With us, the domain, hosting, Google Search Console, analytics and code are created in your name, with us added as users you can remove. At handover you receive:
- Admin logins for domain, hosting and website, with two-step verification
- The code in a repository you own, or a full backup for WordPress
- A one-page list of every service, its login and its renewal date
- A recorded video showing how to make everyday edits
If your current domain is stuck with an old developer, we help you request the transfer before building anything new. The .in domain registry is run by the National Internet Exchange of India, and your registrar can guide the transfer once you have access to the domain's email.
Red flags: when a website banane wala is not the right one
Most bad website experiences follow the same few patterns. Walk away, or at least slow down, if you see any of these:
- A price with no list of pages or features behind it
- Full payment demanded before you see any design
- Domain or hosting bought “for you” in their own name
- A promise of the top Google position in a few days
- A “custom” design that turns out to be a template with sample text still in it
- Hindi text pasted as images instead of real text
- No staging link, so you first see the website after it is live
- Hosting tied into a yearly package you cannot move
- No answer to “who fixes problems after launch?”
If your old developer has stopped replying or left the job half done, do not panic. First collect whatever logins you have, then check whose name the domain is in. Our guide on what to do when a developer leaves a project midway lists the steps to recover access and decide whether to finish or rebuild.
Worked example: a family sweet shop in Indore getting its first website
This is a made-up scenario to show how the work would run, not a past client or a result. Say a family sweet and namkeen shop in Indore has loyal local customers, takes festival orders on WhatsApp, and has a Google Maps listing with a few photos, but no website. Customers keep asking for the menu and for delivery to other cities.
On the first call we would agree the website's job: show the menu with prices or “starting from” ranges, festival gift boxes, shop timings and location, and let customers order or enquire on WhatsApp. Hindi and English would sit side by side, since both kinds of customer visit. Delivery to other cities could start as a WhatsApp enquiry rather than a full online store, keeping the first budget near ₹10,000.
In the first week, the home page and menu page would appear on a staging link; the owner's son would review them on his phone and send changes by voice note. The second week would add the gift box page, photos and the WhatsApp ordering buttons, tested on a budget Android phone.
At launch, the website would link to the shop's Google Business Profile. During the two free months, we would update festival boxes before Diwali. If online orders grew, a proper store from ₹50,000 could follow. No visit to Indore would be needed.
Launch ke baad kya? Two months of free maintenance
The first two months after launch are maintained free. That covers fixing anything that breaks, small changes to text, photos or prices, tested updates, backups, and a check in Google Search Console once Google starts reading your pages. These months matter, because real customers find problems that testing misses.
From the third month, care is optional and starts at ₹8,000/mo. It suits businesses that change their website often, such as shops with seasonal offers or coaching centres with new batches. A care plan typically includes updates, backups, uptime and SSL checks, and a monthly allowance of small edits sent on WhatsApp.
You do not have to take it. Because every login, the code and the backups are already yours, you can make small edits yourself using the recorded video, or give the website to any other developer later. Nothing renews automatically when the free period ends. Planning a sale or festival rush? Tell us a few weeks ahead, and banners and new pages can be ready in time. Details are on our website maintenance page.
Website banane wala near me: serving every city remotely
You do not need a website banane wala in your own street. We have no office or staff in any city and do not make site visits, yet businesses anywhere in India get the same process, prices and ownership terms, because the work runs on WhatsApp, phone and video calls and a staging link you open on your own phone. India runs on one time zone, so a call fits your working day wherever you are.
Our city guides cover local markets, languages and the kind of websites businesses there ask for:
- Uttar Pradesh: Kanpur, Agra, Prayagraj (Allahabad), Varanasi, Bareilly, Gorakhpur and Meerut
- Bihar, Delhi NCR and Haryana: Patna, Ghaziabad, Panipat and Karnal
- Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh: Kota, Jodhpur, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur
