What is a local SEO package, and what should it include?
A local SEO package is a defined set of tasks that helps a business appear when nearby people search for what it offers, mainly in Google Maps and the local results block. For a single location, it should cover five things in writing: profile optimisation, reviews, NAP consistency, website pages and reporting.
Google’s own help page on local ranking names three factors: relevance, meaning how well a profile matches the search; distance, meaning how far the business is from the searcher; and prominence, meaning how well-known the business is, informed by things like links and review count. It also states plainly that there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking. Every honest local SEO package works on relevance and prominence, because distance is fixed by where you are.
- Profile optimisation: the right categories, services, hours, photos and description on your Google Business Profile.
- Reviews: a repeatable way to ask every genuine customer for a review, and to reply to all of them.
- NAP consistency: the same name, address and phone number on your website, profile and directories.
- Website pages: a clear page for each main service and the areas you really serve.
- Reporting: calls, direction requests, website visits and search terms, month by month.
If a package you are offered lists only “GMB optimisation” and “100 citations”, ask where the other three are. Most of the lasting gains come from reviews and website pages, not from listings alone.
Local SEO packages in India: three sensible tiers for one location
For a single location, packages fall naturally into three tiers based on how much website work is needed. The monthly work is similar; the one-time website work is what separates them.
Tier 1: profile and reviews
For a business that already has a decent website with its services listed. Monthly SEO from ₹10,000/mo covers profile optimisation, a review request routine, NAP fixes, basic on-page and schema fixes, and a monthly report.
Tier 2: profile, reviews and a proper local website
For a business with no website, or one that is slow, outdated or missing service pages. Add a static website from ₹10,000, built with a page for each main service, clear contact details, maps and schema, then continue with monthly SEO.
Tier 3: many services or many areas served
For a service business covering many neighbourhoods, or a clinic with many treatments. Add an SEO website from ₹20,000 with 299+ genuinely useful pages generated from structured data, plus monthly SEO from ₹10,000/mo.
An optional add-on at any tier: automated review requests on WhatsApp after each visit or job, sent only to customers who agreed to receive messages, built as an AI automation from ₹40,000. The first table below lays out the tiers side by side.
Google Business Profile optimisation: the first deliverable in any local SEO package
Your Google Business Profile is the listing people see in Maps and the local results, and optimising it is usually the fastest-moving part of local SEO. It means accurate, complete information that matches what customers search for.
Google’s guidelines are specific. The business name must be your real-world name, without marketing taglines, phone numbers or extra keywords, and the guidelines warn that unnecessary information in the name can lead to suspension. You should choose the fewest categories that describe your core business. And you should not create more than one profile per location.
Within those rules, there is plenty to improve. The primary category matters most, so we check which category competitors appearing in the local results actually use. Services get listed individually with plain descriptions. Hours include holiday hours, because a “closed” surprise costs reviews. Photos show the real shop front, the inside, the team at work and the products, taken on a phone in good light. Attributes like wheelchair access or online appointments are filled where true.
Then comes the routine: a post every week or two about an offer, a new service or seasonal hours, and answering questions people ask on the profile. These small, regular actions show that the listing is actively maintained. If your listing is ever suspended, our Google Business Profile suspended guide explains the fix.
How does a local SEO package get more Google reviews without breaking the rules?
By asking every genuine customer, consistently, at the right moment, with a one-tap link, and never offering anything in return. Google’s contribution policy allows businesses to encourage genuine reviews but prohibits incentives and selective asking.
The policy is worth knowing precisely. It prohibits offering incentives such as payment, discounts or free goods in exchange for reviews; it prohibits discouraging negative reviews or selectively soliciting positive ones, which rules out “review gating” where only happy customers are sent the link; it says merchants should not pressure customers to leave reviews while on the premises or ask for specific content; and it treats reviews from employees or people with a conflict of interest as not allowed.
A compliant review system looks like this. Your short review link goes on a QR card at the counter, on the bill, and in a thank-you message sent after the visit or job. Staff mention it once, politely, to everyone, without hovering while the customer types. Every review gets a reply within a few days, including the angry ones, which should be calm, factual and offline-inviting.
For busy clinics and service businesses, we can automate the thank-you message on WhatsApp after each appointment or completed job, only for customers who agreed to receive messages. That build starts from ₹40,000. The effect of reviews builds slowly and steadily, which is exactly why a system beats a one-time push.
Citations and NAP cleanup: what it involves and when it matters
NAP stands for name, address and phone number. Cleanup means making these identical wherever your business appears online, and it matters most when you have moved, changed numbers or rebranded.
Old details cause real problems. A customer calls a disconnected number from a directory. Google sees two addresses for the same clinic and becomes less sure which is correct. A duplicate listing from years ago still collects reviews that should be yours. We find these by searching your business name, old addresses and old numbers, then fix what can be fixed through each site’s own edit or claim process.
Citations are mentions of your business on other sites: directories, maps apps, industry listings and local association pages. Quality matters far more than count. For most single-location businesses in India, the useful set is small: the major maps and navigation apps, a handful of well-known general directories, your industry’s own directories (medical, legal, education, hospitality) and any local association or chamber listing you genuinely belong to.
What we avoid: bulk submissions to hundreds of low-quality directories, which add little and can spread inconsistent data. What we deliver: a spreadsheet of every listing found, its current details, what was fixed and what still needs your login or documents to change.
Location and service pages: the website half of local SEO packages
Your website gives Google and customers the detail a profile cannot hold. Local SEO packages that ignore the website leave a lot of relevance on the table.
For a single-location business, the priority is service pages: one page per main service, explaining what it is, who it suits, how long it takes, what to bring or prepare, and how to book, with your address, map and click-to-call on every page. A dental clinic, for example, benefits more from clear pages on root canal treatment, aligners and children’s dentistry than from one long “services” page.
Area pages come next, and only for places you genuinely serve. A home-service business covering several neighbourhoods can have a page per area with useful, specific content: response times, landmarks, typical jobs there. Pages that swap only the area name are thin and are the kind of doorway content search engines discount. That is why our Tier 3 SEO websites generate pages from real structured data, not copy-paste.
Every page carries LocalBusiness schema consistent with your profile, loads quickly on budget phones, and is submitted through Google Search Console. If you need a site built for this, a static website starts from ₹10,000; read website for local business for what it includes, and Google Business Profile vs website if you are unsure you need both.
What should monthly map-pack reporting in a local SEO package show?
A useful report shows actions customers took, not just positions. Calls, direction requests, website clicks and bookings from your profile matter more than a screenshot of one keyword’s rank.
Our monthly report pulls from two sources you own: your Google Business Profile performance data and Google Search Console. From the profile, we show how many people called, asked for directions, visited your website or messaged you, and the search terms that surfaced your listing. From Search Console, we show which local pages earned impressions and clicks, and for what queries.
We add a simple rank check for a short list of important searches, taken from a fixed location, because map results change with where the searcher stands. We present it as a guide, not a scorecard. Reviews gained, average rating and replies sent go in too.
Most importantly, the report says what we did that month, what we plan next, and what we need from you, such as photos, a new service to add or approval of a page. If a report cannot tell you what changed and why, it is decoration.
- Calls, directions, website clicks and messages from the profile, month on month
- Top search terms that showed your listing
- Search Console clicks and impressions for service and area pages
- Reviews received, average rating and response rate
- Work completed, work planned and anything we need from you
How long do local SEO packages take to show results?
Profile fixes can change what customers see within days, but meaningful, steady growth in calls and direction requests usually takes a few months of consistent work. Anyone promising top positions in a week is either lucky or bending rules.
Month one is foundation work: auditing the profile, fixing categories and details, cleaning NAP, setting up the review system and fixing technical basics on the website. Some businesses see early movement simply because their profile was incomplete.
Months two and three are about pages and reviews: publishing or improving service and area pages, getting the review routine running with staff, and building a posting rhythm on the profile. Months four to six are when the compounding starts to show, as review count grows and pages get indexed and earn clicks.
Speed depends on competition and starting point. A physiotherapy clinic in a smaller town with three competitors moves faster than a dentist in a dense metro neighbourhood with thirty. Distance also caps what is possible: a business will rarely appear in Maps results for searchers far across a large city, whatever the package. We set expectations in the first month based on what we find, and say so plainly if your area is very competitive.
What local SEO packages should never include: red flags
Some tactics sold in cheap local SEO packages can get your profile suspended or your reviews removed. If a proposal includes any of these, walk away.
- Keywords added to your business name, such as “Best Dentist in Pune” after your clinic name, which Google’s guidelines prohibit.
- Bought, swapped or incentivised reviews, including discounts for reviews or review exchanges with other businesses.
- Review gating, where only happy customers receive the review link.
- Virtual office or fake address listings to appear in more areas; Google requires offices to be staffed with signage.
- Multiple profiles for one location, often sold as “more visibility”.
- Promises of the top Maps spot; Google states there is no way to pay for a better local ranking.
- The provider owning your profile, instead of being added as a manager on your account.
A good provider explains what they will not do as clearly as what they will. With us, your profile, website and Search Console stay in your name, and we are added as managers you can remove at any time.
Is a monthly local SEO package worth it for a single-location business?
It is worth it when your area is competitive, your customers search before choosing, and each new customer is valuable over time. It is often not worth it for a business in a small market with few competitors, where a one-time setup and your own routine can do most of the work.
A quick way to decide: search your main service plus “near me” from your shop’s location on your phone. If the local results show well-reviewed competitors with complete profiles and good websites, and you are missing, a paid plan will likely pay back. If the results are thin and your profile already appears, a one-off audit plus a checklist may be enough.
Think in customer value, not monthly fee. A dental patient, a physiotherapy course, an AC servicing contract or a coaching admission can be worth a lot over a year. If a few extra of those customers each month cover the fee, the plan is doing its job. We will not promise that outcome, because nobody can guarantee rankings, but we will tell you honestly if we think your market does not need a monthly plan.

Local SEO packages for clinics, shops and service businesses: what changes
The five core deliverables stay the same, but the emphasis shifts with the type of business. A good package is adjusted to how your customers choose.
Clinics and healthcare
Treatment pages, doctor profiles with qualifications, appointment booking, and replies to reviews that never disclose patient details. Health searches are sensitive, so accuracy and plain language matter. See SEO for doctors.
Shops and showrooms
Product and category photos, accurate hours including festival days, stock or brand highlights in posts, and a link to an online store if you have one. Directions requests are often the key metric.
Home and field services
Service-area setup without a public address, area pages for neighbourhoods truly covered, fast click-to-call, and reviews that mention the job done. Calls are the key metric.
Education and coaching
Course and batch pages, faculty subjects, results described honestly, and replies to parent questions. Admission seasons shape the posting calendar.
Restaurants and food
Menu accuracy, photos that match what arrives on the plate, hours, and links for ordering. Review replies carry weight here because diners read them.
Service-area businesses: local SEO without a shop front
If you travel to customers, such as plumbers, pest control, AC repair, tutors or cleaners, you can still have a Google Business Profile. Google’s guidelines say service-area businesses should hide their address from customers and define the areas they serve instead.
Eligibility requires in-person contact: a business must either have a location customers can visit or travel to customers where they are. A purely online business does not qualify for a profile. And a service business cannot list a virtual office or a mailbox; any listed office must have signage, receive customers during business hours and be staffed.
For service-area businesses, the website does more of the heavy lifting because the profile has no visible address pin. Area pages, written with real detail for each neighbourhood you cover, help Google and customers connect your services to places. Job photos with the area mentioned in the caption, and reviews that name the service, strengthen that link.
Operating from home is common for these businesses, and the address stays private on the profile. If you ever need to verify the profile, keep proof of your business ready, such as registration documents, branded vehicle photos or tools and invoices, because verification methods vary.
Local SEO and AI search: how your listing feeds AI answers
AI answers in search engines and assistants lean on the same public information local SEO improves: your profile details, reviews, website pages and consistent listings. Clean, specific, consistent data is what makes a business easy for an AI system to describe correctly.
When someone asks an AI assistant for “a good physiotherapist near Alkapuri open on Sunday”, the answer is assembled from sources such as maps data, reviews and websites. If your hours are wrong in one place, your services are vague and your reviews are few, you are harder to recommend with confidence.
Practical steps overlap almost entirely with good local SEO. Answer common questions on your service pages in short, direct sentences. Keep hours and holiday closures updated everywhere. Use LocalBusiness schema so machines can read your name, address, phone, hours and services. Encourage reviews that describe the actual service, which happens naturally when you ask at the right moment.
We cannot promise that any AI system will mention you, and nobody can. What we can do is make sure the facts about your business are consistent, complete and easy to quote across your profile, website and listings, which is the foundation every system relies on.
How to compare local SEO packages from different providers
Compare deliverables, ownership and reporting, not package names. Two plans with the same label can contain completely different work, and quotes vary widely across freelancers and larger providers.
Put each proposal against the same questions. Which of the five core deliverables are included, and how often? How many website pages will be created or improved, and who writes them? How are reviews requested, and does the method follow Google’s policy? Who owns the profile, website and Search Console? What exactly is in the monthly report? What is the minimum commitment and how do you leave? What is not included?
Ask for a sample report and a live profile they manage that you can look up yourself. Check whether their own proposals contain promises like guaranteed positions; if they do, that tells you how they work.
For our part, the quote is itemised, arrives in about two working days, and nothing is billed until you approve it in writing. Terms about leaving or pausing are agreed in that written quote; our terms page covers the general points. If you want a one-time check before choosing anyone, a local SEO audit is a sensible first step.
Worked example: a hypothetical physiotherapy clinic in Vadodara
Say a single-location physiotherapy clinic in Vadodara has a profile with 18 reviews, a wrong primary category, no photos of the inside and a two-page website with no treatment details. Competitors nearby have complete profiles and far more reviews.
This fits Tier 2. Month one: fix the primary category to the most specific physiotherapy option, list each treatment as a service, add real photos of the treatment rooms and equipment, correct Sunday hours, and clean an old listing that still shows the clinic’s previous address. Set up a review QR card at reception and a thank-you message the receptionist sends after the final session of each course.
Weeks two to five: build a static website from ₹10,000 with pages for back pain, sports injuries, post-surgery rehabilitation, neck and shoulder pain, and home visits, each with who it suits, what a session involves, how many sessions are typical as a range the physiotherapist approves, and a booking button. LocalBusiness schema, Search Console and sitemap go live with it.
From then, monthly SEO from ₹10,000/mo: weekly posts, review replies, page improvements based on Search Console queries, and a monthly report showing calls, direction requests and bookings. No rankings are promised; the plan simply removes every avoidable reason a nearby patient would choose another clinic.
Local SEO packages across India: same process, different local searches
We work remotely, so our local SEO process and starting prices are the same for a clinic in a metro and a shop in a smaller city. What changes is how people in each place search and how crowded the results are.
Clinics and diagnostic centres in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Kolkata face dense competition within a few kilometres, so reviews and treatment pages decide a lot. Service businesses in Gurgaon and Noida cover many sectors and need honest area pages. Shops in Chandigarh, Jalandhar and Bhopal depend on direction requests and accurate hours. In Thiruvananthapuram and Mangaluru, bilingual profiles and pages help customers searching in English and the local language.
Wherever you are, the steps match: you share access to your profile and website, we audit and send an itemised quote in about two working days, and monthly work begins only after your written approval. We do not visit premises; photos come from you, and we guide what to shoot.
